Incredible service and ambient worker's very passionate in their job specially the one that serve me goes by gabby such a great girl very cute as well definitely will comeback soon for another skinny roll.??
Their service and sushi are amazing. The firecracker roll is the best roll I've ever had. I've been to various Kumori establishments and this location makes them exactly how I like it. The roll is super crispy and has a very nice amount of crab and avocado. It tastes even better with spicy mayo and hot sauce. The portions are perfect and the waiters are always so sweet and helpful!

So yesterday I went with my friend to have lunch. As soon I got to the door there was a sign saying to be considerate because they were short staffed. To this point I am very understanding, but what I do not understand is why your staff does not do its job. I say this because the waiter was very nice and friendly, but just didn't do his job. He took our order and brought it out,gave us our drinks and that was it. To this you can say he did his job, but he didn't bring us the soup they usually give out, he did not give us anything to eat with or napkins. I had to ask the other waitress for the chopsticks and my friend took out napkins out of her purse. Like really!!!!
This sushi restaurant used to be fantastic. Sadly, we have gone three additional times to give it a shot, but we have encountered angry and combative wait staff and rude managers. We actually had a waiter who we gave feedback to who seemingly clenched fist and was ready to fight instead of listening to what could be done better. Management was directly told about this issue and did absolutely nothing. Since that time we’ve gone to additional times because everybody has a bad day. We also really liked the food. Additionally, when we ordered a dish which was sashimi the wait staff promptly delivered our order without telling us that portion size had been reduced as well as the number of pieces on the dish. As a customer I wish they had just gone up in price. I’m always willing to pay more for a good product. And wait staff should be advised especially when no menus are being handed out to tell customers when portion sizes and the number of pieces served on a dish have actually changed. This was disappointing because we used to eat at this location 2 to 3 times a month and spend well over $80-$150 during each visit. It’s just sad to see that good restaurants aren’t able to find good help and when confronted with an issue are unwilling to change. That is what has made this a bad experience.We actually asked our waiter for miso soup after waiting 30 minutes for our meal and his response as mentioned above was combative and he stated, that’s not my job that’s the bus boys job. One reported to a manager absolutely nothing was done. This is extremely sad because we gave this location three opportunities, after three years of visiting, to improve. We do realize it’s also tough during this time to find people that actually want to properly serve and service customers. It’s my hope in the future that this location improves. We really enjoyed coming to this location until it got to the point of being flat out rude.
Ordered curbside. Alerted phone number in designated area. Waited 15 min with no response. Went in for my food and it was sitting on the table ready. Get to my office and they forgot to add food we ordered. Called location and was placed on hold for another 15 min and finally hung up.
Consistently good food and great service!

Kumori is local’s go-to sushi place in Mc Allen, you just can’t go wrong. The food is fresh & delicious and the service is on point. The only thing is that portions are big, so you might want to consider sharing.
The server Arturo, seemed rude and annoyed for no apparent reason, we understand if you had a bad day but no need to bring your negative energy to our table. Make an effort to fake a smile at least. My husband ordered a banana tempura for his birthday and it tasted awful, all the server had to say about it was it depends on the chef. Not sure why my mom even left a tip but i guess that's what kind people do ?
