I'm from NYC, so my taste is a little different from others so I can't really rate the food based on that, I can however rate the atmosphere and people, I gave it a 3 starts because it's very gloomy, empty the staff are not familiar with Japanese custom and culture so it feels like I just walk into a regular restaurant that serves Japanese food, the show was great love the fireworks, food way too salty, big portions but I couldn't eat it.
Been here several times.....a couple at the hibachi grill and first time dining with menu options. Every time we've eaten here, food is always fresh and delicious. This time we had the bento boxes with California rolls, sashimi, sushi, etc. All were good. We also had the ahi tower for the first time for an appetizer and was very good. We will have to get that tower again next time.
In the past, I worked at a company that dealt in restaurant disposables and paper products, and in the course and scope of my job, delivered to this location. On multiple occasions, I delivered to the kitchen area, and in my assessment of it, everything appeared clean and in order, so it made the list of places to try when not working. This was years ago, but we finally got the opportunity to go yesterday. We attempted to go a few weeks back, but the line was out the door and the wait was over 1 hr to be seated. this was for hibachi, there was no wait at that time for a regular dining table. During our visit yesterday, we elected for the table as we were just hungry and didn’t really need the show. We ordered two different sushi rolls and a chicken dish. Everything was great. The only area of improvement I could offer the restaurant is that their menus are super confusing. the hibachi menu does not have prices, the prices were there at one point in time but appear to have been “redacted”. The regular menu has dishes, which come with rice, but nowhere is it indicated so. Just an overall confusing menu. experience was great even with that little issue. would recommend.
Originally had a reservation at 5:45pm and was called and asked to change reservation to 8:15pm. Arrived prior to reservation wasn’t seated until 9pm and the service was horrible. The manager was frustrated and overwhelmed because of the number of people who were there to dine. The food portions were not the same as usual when asked about it I was pretty much ignored by the waiter. Will not be attending again especially with a large party!
Our party arrived at the restaurant to see "Trash" swirling around the front door. It was windy and was just choked it up to the weather. Then, we started this adventure after entering the restaurant: 1. The "grill" cooking area still had food on it from the previous patrians. 2. Two of the eight plates at the table were chipped and in bad condition. 3. Drinks were ordered and served with no problem. 4. Orders were taken without issue and we waited for the "Chef" 5. When the "Chef" arrived to the table the "S**t Show" was about to start. I mean we were there for the food and "Show". Right? 6. It was brought to his attention regarding the residual food remaining on the grill. He assured us it would be cleaned with the "Fire". It was VERY apparent this insulted him and he was not happy. He then commenced to put a large amount of oil on the grill and then put some type of alcohol on it and ignited the liquid to clean the surface. The flames were so large and hot that everyone had to quickly move back from the table to keep from being burned. Actually, the wife's hair was singed during the event. 7. The food trays were brought out stacked on top of each other (bottom of one tray touching the food on the tray beneath). Veg tray on top on the rice tray, and the meat tray on top of the rice tray. Something called "Cross Contamination". 8. The eggs were cracked on the grill to start the "Fried Rice". The grill was dirty enough to turn the cooking eggs brown. Not fried egg brown, but dirty brown. Note: The fried rice was egg and white rice only. No vegetables of any kind. Oh, swimming in oil and soy sauce. I mean swimming. 9. The clear soup and side salad was served. The salad was room temp and the mushroom in the soup was still dehydrated or just dry. Let's hope it just wasn't Rehydrated yet and not just old and dried out. Oh. My bowl was......you guessed it.....chipped. 10. All of the food to be prepared was dumped on the grill at the same time and was platted as it was completed. Thus, being cold when all items were completed. We found ourselves watching other tables and the show they were experiencing because our "Under trained Waffle House Cook Trainee". was uninterested and under qualified to perform the same cooking skills. I was in attendance of this celebration for my wife's and her daughters birthday celebration was was unwilling to interrupt and cause a problem regarding the less than professional or sanitary conditions we experienced. There were/are many other issues with this establishment but my review is already in excess of what people are willing to read. Just beware of this place unless you are ok with substandard food handling practices and some of the unprofessional employees. If you are still reading this, thank you and just be observant of what you are eating and ultimately paying for.
Hibachi was great, our waiter was on point. Never had to ask for a refill or anything, he was right there. Still pricier than other hibachi in the area, which we knew, I personally think they need to do happy hour.
Ordered this for take out lunch last week, and I must say it was one of the best take outs Ive had in a long time!! Salmon and Chicken lunch combo did not disappoint, portion and price was just right. They gave all the extra sauces without being asked. Easy and friendly service when ordering. I was just passing thru from out of town..Very glad we selected this option!
Sake Hibachi is a family favorite of ours. The food is consistent; no matter which chef you find yourself with, you will get a nice cooked meal. Sake offers all the classic hibaci favorites, and the shrimp in particular never disappoints. The sushi here is decent, but the hibachi is better in my opinion. The service is always great, and many of the chefs will put a smile on your face. I will subtract a star for this place not being the cleanest around, however.
Went here for the hibachi but got a Texas roll appetizer too. The roll was great, a perfect combination of sweet, salty, and savory. For hibachi I got the scallops, they were tender and delicious. My wife got the calamari and shrimp. The calamari was a steak cut into strips, and it was excellent. The shrimp was a little overcooked and chewy but still tasted good. It costed about what you expect for hibachi, about $20-35 per plate. The fried rice was great, different than others I've had.
Its crazy how i called in 5 hours before to make our reservation and at the time we were a party of 15 when i arrived at 7:30 with half of our party there they still would not sit us down and then after that I explain that it was a surprise gathering and the husband knew about the gathering they said that they still wouldn’t be able to let us in I didn’t understand why that was when I was talking to the host she was rude And clearly flat out told me you can talk to my manager I didn’t even request to talk to a manager to begin with what the crazy thing is about this restaurant we usually go there and celebrate our birthdays anniversaries or any special occasion or you know accomplishments but it’s definitely gone downhill the manager came out and the only thing that she told me was in a “she said we don’t sit down everybody until everybody’s here first of all yes you do you’ve done it in the past there was no welcoming the customer nothing if I’m spending over $300-$400 there I should be able to go ahead and have a seat and remind you we had children with us I’m not trying to be the so-called Karen that we use that term nowadays but this was a very very very bad experience the only good part about this restaurant tonight was the chef and our waiter and that’s it the host and the manager needs to be replaced ASAP ! I don’t think my family and I will be dining there anytime soon we rather go to the low side of hibachi and pay them at least they treat us with respect
