The Treehouse Cafe, on FM 1488, about five miles west of the FM 2978 intersection.A fun place to go eat and see their collection of live turtles. From small to hugeThe Cafe offers indoor, outdoor seating as well as orders to-go.The staff is friendly and the cooks are QUICK!!!The menu is minimal, but sufficient for a Cafe. They always have an off the menu, lunch special.I had the cheese burger. Very good, the meat had minimal fat so it was not a mess to eat..I opted for a side salad rather than the spicy french fries.Overall great for a Cafe in the woods. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.Make plans to take the whole family there for dinner.Message me if you have any questions. Please like and follow- thanks.
Cute idea, but execution could use work.Food took over an hour before being served, but our waitress was kind. There were tables that walked out due to excessive wait time and the servers ate their food at the front, during their shift. I understand not wanting to waste food, but consider that appearance to those customers walking in.The salad took an hour (maybe specifying it to come out before the entrees would help). Burger was over cooked. The fish sandwich was a thin slice of tilapia drowned in tarter sauce. The sweet potato fries were the best part.Although the aesthetic is charming and service was pleasant, our wait time was not worth food quality.
We visited the Tree House Cafe twice on our holiday in Texas, once for lunch then back for breakfast a few days later - the only place we visited twice! The service, food and atmosphere were great and our waitress Kimberley was lovely. Lots of unusual things to look at which kept my young son entertained. Would definitely recommend, just wish we lived closer!!
New favorite lunch spot! First time trying this restaurant. This is the bone fire burger. So good! We’ll be regulars now.
A rare treasure that I don't want share because I don't want it to get crowded! I had this place on my want to list and finally went. Love it!
What a quaint little restaurant. The atmosphere was great, staff friendly, food was amazing (except for the chili on the fries). Very good chicken fried steak and green bean! And the dinner came fast. Can't wait to go back
Well that was a disappointing meal to say the least! We've passed The Treehouse Cafe for 2 years and after reading reviews, we finally stopped in for dinner tonight. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.Pros:* The burgers were decent.* The atmosphere was fun, and we dined all fresco near the tortoises.Cons:* The waitress took more than 10 minutes to come and see us to take our drink order because she was playing with the turtles with other guests, even though there were 3 parties waiting to be served outside.* We waited around again to have our food order taken. The waitress wasn't paying attention and had to have us repeat our orders multiple times.* They didn't have chicken fried steaks which half our party had planned to order. (We did receive a discount which was appeciated.)* The grilled chicken sandwich had zero flavor. It was a total letdown.
Cool place to eat and check out the turtles . Nice outdoor kinda feel . Even when your inside . Just overall a cool place and great food .
Anywhere close to this place demands a stop - see the multitude of turtles, the zombie garden & fast, fresh, delicious food. Service was quick and friendly. Patio for the dogs to watch the turtles roam.Had the shrimp poboy, tasty! Want to try the grilled cheese cheeseburger next time...
Best hidden little gem in Magnolia!!! The entire experience was amazing! The “yard art”, the walk in, the welcoming “wildlife”, the decore etc!!! We accidentally showed up half an hour before they closed(I absolutely hate doing that) The ladies didn’t make us feel rushed or anything! The food came out hot and fast and tasted perfect!!! Lisa was our waitress and was the most amazing waitress I have ever had(I worked in the food and restaurant industry for years, so I’m kind of familiar with how things go)!!! She was genuine, friendly, attentive etc. I will be going back as much as I can while in town.
