GOT STEAK? We finally tried Red Flame Steak & Grill on Magnolia, perfect place between a chain steakhouse and a fancy upscale steakhouse. Red Flame is also locally owned by Julio Amer, who has managed to have a place with great steaks, cocktails and wine, but made the place a casual neighborhood family friendly place. We started with the New Orleans Style Crab Cake - 6oz, Crab cake topped with a creamy crawfish sauce with crawfish tails and U10 scallops toppings. All three of us throughly enjoyed it. So much crabby and crawfish goodness.Sunday is Happy Hour All Day at Red Flame, I started with Montana's Limonation - Red Flame’s Lemonade with a SNAP vodka twist contains Agave Nectar, & Lemon Juice. Dangerously smooth and drinkable. My wife got a couple of Runey's Dirty Vodka Martini - Tito’s Vodka, No Vermouth, a Ton of Olive Juice Shaken to a Pulp, Served with More Olives.I decided to go with the 14oz Ribeye - Highly marbled and juicy with an intense flavor profile. I decided to add some blue cheese crumbles on top. My sides were loaded mashed potatoes and creamed corn. What a great steak for the price, seasoned to perfection and perfectly cooked to temp. The cream corn was buttery and delicious. My wife went with 12oz New York Strip - America's most popular lean and tender strap. She chose grilled asparagus and a loaded baked potato. I had a bite, and another perfect steak for the price. My son got the kids Filet Medallions with a loaded baked potato - no chives, he said it was the best he ever had.I got the The Real Margarita for my second cocktail - Herradura Silver, Agave Nectar, Lime and Lemon Juice, Gran Gala. I knew it was going to be great, because they also own Julio's Mexican Grill three locations.Julio knew it was out first time there, so he sent out a complimentary appetizers sampler with small portions of some of his most appetizer and a trio of soups to try.-Korean Grill Wings - Grilled and Stirred in Spicy Korean BBQ Sauce-Red Flame Jalapeños - mozzarella, cheddar, and tuna in baconwrapped, fresh jalapenos-Korean Tenderloin Skewer - One tenderloin Strip With a Savory Korean Demi Glaze.-Oyster Nachos - Fried oysters on tortilla chips with melted cheese, pico de gallo and queso fresco-Stuffed Squash Blossoms - stuffed with ricotta, lemon, garlic (I am guessing)The Korean Tenderloin skewer was the son's favorite, I loved the red flame jalapeños and Korean wings and my wife loved the stuffed squash blossom, but honestly everything we would order again.-Lobster Bisque Cup - Fresh lobster tail meat in a spicy, made from scratch sauce.Cajun Clam Chowder Cup - Cajun Seasoned crawfish, sausage and corn,-Seafood Gumbo - Crabmeat, crawfish, shrimpThe Cajun Clam chowder was the winner for my son and I, my wife loved the Lobster bisque the best. Our waiter Rodrigo was attentive, polite and knowledgeable. We left full and happy, not sure why it took so long to get here. We will definitely be back. Now time for a Father's Day food coma nap.
Our 1st time here at Red Flame..We both had the filet mignon and they were both Amazing! (So were the sides loaded mash potatoes, asparagus, and mushrooms) All Fantastic! Our waitress Tania was Amazing and needs to be promoted to Manager ASAP..Great Smile and Customer Service..We never waited for Anything..On the flip side The Manager On Duty without naming names needs to gain a personality especially when customers are dropping $100++ to eat in this establishment but maybe he was having a bad evening won’t hold it against this place this time..We will be back!??❤️
Since moving to Magnolia, this was my first time visiting Red Flame. From the moment my wife and I walked through the door we were both impressed. Being greeted by Julio the owner and sat and Mr Daniel’s table. Service was impeccable from beginning to end. From Daniel‘s excellent skills and great personality to the amazing food made by their chef and the cocktails in between; we couldn’t be more satisfied. This place is top notch.
First off the customer service was amazing. And the atmosphere is pleasant. My husband had the ribeye and the quality of meat was more like something you would get at Denny's. It was cooked exactly like he asked for but there was zero flavor/seasoning. I had chicken with truffle sauce and it was the same zero flavor.I was so let down because i really wanted this to be a local spot to get good steak.
Visited 12 FebFrom the moment we walked in, we were made to feel unwelcome. The host complained we had made a reservation online, rather than via phone. We were seated but we're made to feel like it was a favor (even though we had.a reservation). We were placed next to a pile of dirty dishes on the bar.Staff were overwhelmed and service was poor all night. Drinks were fine.My wife orders steak, it was ok, nothing great. Mashed potatoes were glutenous and seemingly sat for a long time. I ordered salmon and it was uneatable. The dish was drowned in a thick sucee that was so salty that you wonder if the lid came off the salt seller. The dish and mushrooms were also heavily over seasoned.I did not say anything at the time as I had already decided never to come back. The prices here are high, the quality of the food and the lack of hospitality is nowhere worth the money being charged.
We visited Red Flame during lunch time for an early Valentines dinner and Carlos our server was excellent. We had a great time and great service and great food. Thank you to Carlos for a great evening. Will go back soon.
Everything we tried was great and service was amazing! Highly recommend.
The service is absolutely incredible and the food is the best the steaks are the best I have ever had it is truly a dining experience I would recommend!!
From the moment you walk in, owner Julio and his staff make you feel like a valued customer and friend. I don't know why I had not tried Red Flame sooner, except in my mind I never thought Magnolia could have a steakhouse this good. I was wrong. The NY strip was tender and cooked to perfection. We tried the oyster nachos and what a surprise! Sweet avocado mixed with tender, fried oysters and a fiery sauce that leaves an explosion of flavor in your mouth. Our sides were a loaded baked potato and wedge salad. Both were perfect, but the steak stole the show. They have an excellent global wine list. This is a jewel on 1488 and should put Magnolia on the map for foodies from all over.
Red Flame is a very good steakhouse but most steakhouses have more selections that we like besides steak. The service is great and honestly, we go back over and over for the rolls and chimichurri. The owner is almost always there which we love, though everyone seems to care about their job and making things great for the customer. This is the best steakhouse in the area and it's definitely worth a drive.
