If you haven't tried this place, you should! This is my first time here and I got the weekly special - the Mediterranean plate. I've never tried falafel before but OMG, it's bursting with savory herb flavor! The chicken shawarma is awesome too! I ordered a sure if Broccoli salad which was great and finished off the meal with Grape salad for dessert. Y'all this was the best meal I've had in a long time! Service was great too. I'll definitely be back.

we are from DeQuincy, La. Took the grands on a quick trip to the Ellen Trout zoo on Good Friday 2022. left the zoo at about 1pm, got to the resturaunt about 1:30. a couple of tables were occupied. we had a great, attentive waiter. they have a clean bathroom. resturaunt seating area is rustic but neat and clean and well maintained. thier menu is appropriate with surprises. I got the weekly special of a chicken curry, pickled cucumber and onion salad, with shrimp toast. curry was great, pickled salad a pleasant suprise and the shrimp toast was yummy. hubs and grands got chicken strips...the fries are reported to be completely homemade and they are probably the best Ive ever had...hot AND cold! the chicken strips were way better than most. fat and juicy with an excellent seasoning....i ate off the kids take home plate. I got a hibiscus limeaide to go, and it was AMAZING...get one if you stop by. I wanted to grab a broccoli coleslaw on the way out but i was stuffed from the curry. I love the zoo but I will keep thinking about Rustica. Well done, but I wish y'all were closer.
Stopped for lunch passing through Lufkin. Had the muffuletta and the gyro salad and everything was fresh and tasty. The strawberry lemonade with chunks of actual strawberries was perfect too. Friendly prompt service. A great experience all around

We had Rustica’s cater our daughters wedding. My wife and I could tell from the questions they asked us on our first meeting that we had made a good choice. Their preparation was very thorough, they came and set up their equipment the day before wedding and were very detailed in setting up the flow and layout of serving the food. The food itself was amazing, the brisket and chicken tacos were delicious. All of our guests loved them along with the rice, beans, queso, and guacamole they served up.
