Beautifully designed & well plated food that was above expectation in taste, flavor, and presentation.A dark interior in an unfinished structure and relaxed staff serve some of the greatest meals..
My first visit: Crappiest service for such a hyped up location. Had to get up to get my own water refill. Had to ask for my ticket after putting my plate and cup aside to let them know I was done. Our “server” never checked on us and we had to flag the second server to get our check.Second visit, the next day: sat at the the other servers table and had a phenomenal time. She suggested a wine and brought me a sample and was patient with me in choosing something for my palette. She made us feel very comfortable and we ended up staying for almost 3 hours for our lunch meeting and will definitely come back and make sure to sit at her tables.
Asked s couple folks while walking around downtown Lufkin for a good lunch place with a patio. They pointed us toward Restoration Bistro. Definitely a regular lunch stop for quite a few people. Accommodating by allowing a small dog on patio. Food was quick and service was good. Atmosphere is great inside. Lunch specials are a half sandwich and a side. The fried green tomatoes were excellent and disappeared to fast for a picture. Fresh iced tea.
Nice atmosphere, 5 star food.Waitress was ultra slow, lacked knowledge and seemed lost. Staff seemed annoyed that we were there.Had the staff been on their game I would have given 5 stars.
This place is easily the best, most consistent service of any restaurant in the area--gracious, prompt, and fair. That alone is reason to return, but the food quality and atmosphere are also outstanding. Several times during my first visit, I kept thinking "Where am I, again?!" Every thing I have ordered is absolutely fantastic and a delight to the senses. The prices are certainly reasonable for the level of quality and service. The worst part for me is the drive from Nac to Lufkin! I try to get back as often as I can.
Food is probably the best I've had in Lufkin. Diverse, appetizing menu, and so far every meal me and my boyfriend have had has been absolutely delicious! We discovered it this month, and have already visited 4-5 times. I'm also very impressed with how cheap it is, since its such a well maintained, "fancy" restaurant.
Arrived at 12:45 on Wed, Feb 9th. They were busy. We were told to sit anywhere. So the only place we could find was in the back and it was two tables together to seat 4. When the waitress came over, she asked how many people and we said two. She said you can't sit here. So she lead us to another table upfront that was for 4 people. Huh???? She proceeded to remove the cases of beer from the chairs at this table. She gave us menus and said I will be back. Well,. That was not the case. After 10 minutes she never returned to take drink orders or our order!!!!! She was going back to the tables all around us to see if they needed anything else. Now, they had already been served and I am sure a tip was in mind. Well,. We did not need to wait any longer to be ignored. So we left and went to Another place to eat. We were not ignored there. I will not recommend this place or even go back. Hope this helps others.
Food was great, no beers on tap, had to use my flashlight to see the menu, server was great
I have never been to a bistro, and I'm so happy this place was my first experience! My best friend and I had mimosas, brie board appetizer, she had the lunch special and I had shrimp scampi. I will definitely drive the two hours to eat it again!
We celebrate our anniversary at the restaurant. The hospitality and food was amazing and we will definitely come back again. I wish I took picture of our food
