OMG I loved this place.! The food was Dynamite I mean dynamite.! The people were great and they catered to my mama like she was a queen. They didn't even blink twice with all of the things that she wanted they did it without question. Smiles on their faces making us feel like we were walking into our home food again was phenomenal service was phenomenal I recommend this to each and everyone of you five stars is not enough for this
What a wonderful find. Traveling from Houston airport to visit family in Arkansas we stopped at the Cotton Patch for lunch and was extremely glad that we did. The staff were amazing and went out of their way to make sure our visit was enjoyable and it certainly was thanks to Lulu , Morgan and Jeffrey. The food was really delicious and very good sized portions. We really hope we get the opportunity to visit this lovely restaurant again.
We traveled through 2 weeks earlier and had great service and food. The lunch specials are very good tasting and very fair priced. The waitress we had was very friendly and kept us rolling in hot rolls. We stopped again and got a different waitress, and she soured the entire experience enough I'll never go back. We spotted the other waitress, and she was passing out hot rolls. Our side of the room had about 6-7 tables full of people and not a roll in sight. I asked, aren't we supposed to get rolls with our meal? She grunted oh, did you want rolls? I said yes I wanted everything I am about to pay for. She didn't bring the rolls and I ate my entire meal. My wife asked her why nobody on this side of the building had rolls? She said oh, let me go get them. I told her not to bother I was done eating. She brought them anyway and we left them untouched. I called and asked the manager why she was standing there taking all that in and had not noticed? I didn't wait to hear the answer. There are plenty of other Cotton Patch Cafe's up and down the freeway next time I'll make it to the next town.
We visited the Cotton Patch a few days ago. The food was great and the portions just right. We even had leftovers. LuLu was our server. She was absolutely wonderful. Answered all of or questions about the menu. We even made a mistake on our order and she promptly had it corrected. It was a wonderful experience and we plan to visit again.
My husband and I came in late in the evening and Lulu was amazing to us! She was very cheerful and accommodating made sure we had everything needed without being to intrusive. She made sure we had a bag with our to go left overs and dessert and even packed it for us. If we didn't already love Cotton Patch we'd be coming back just for her service. We both had Texas size tender meal with 2 flavors and loved them! Breading was perfect and the Honey BBQ was divine! Will definitely continue coming
My wife ordered the chicken fried chicken and said it was delicious and the fried pickles the best we have had any whereI am vegan and a problem is that if I do a Google maps search for vegan or vegetarian restaurants any place that has a dinner salad on the menu claims to be vegan. I find the veggie platter to be an excellent choice. This makes Cotton Patch one of my go to places on the road. The service that Allie T gave was excellent .
Cotton Patch has such a wide selection of food. It's great tasting and reasonably priced. We love the $7 weekly lunch combo and that kids eat free on Wednesdays. Also, the Monday special is great. Cotton Patch is our favorite restaurant in Lufkin. We always get wonderful service. Alice T served us today and she was GREAT!! We've had her before and she has always been wonderful.
Due to the poor quality of the food and the laughably bizarre experience I need to share mine and my friends experience at the cotton patch. I have eaten at the restaurant before and absolutely enjoyed my previous experience, but after the last I will more than likely never return. Our server was nice and polite so no complaints in that department. The issue comes in the food and management areas. We were a party of 3, I ordered a burger medium rare, my friends ordered a 6 oz steak well done and a chicken fried steak. When we received our food my friend's steak she had ordered was very rare, she sent it back due to not liking rare steak. My burger was cooked to a charcoal briquette which is absolutely not how I like my food prepared. I did not send my food back due to the simple fact that it is now taboo and frowned upon to cause any slight amount of trouble for food employees, now we didn't make a scene and we were polite the entire time, laughing and attempting to have a nice evening. The largest issue comes from my 3rd friend's meal, the chicken fried streak, after attempting to eat it, he discovered that the cook had not taken the paper off the steak before frying it! I know it is hard to believe that is why I have a picture of it attached to this review. We still at this point were very polite and kind, we spoke to who I assume to be the manager, as she was the first one we could speak to, she took the plate and had another one made for him. At this point we were still not upset, we finished our meal and were getting ready to pay for it, the manager had decided due to our poor experience they would give us free dessert. So together paid over fifty dollars for three meals and two appetizers, we also still tipped, nothing was comped or discounted, and that was the end, when we left, we were going to split up the free dessert they had given so generously, only to find a single slice of carrot cake. I mean when I say if I could give it zero stars I would, but I guess I'll be generous as well and give them one single star.
Food was awesome, service was slow. Waitress forgot husband's salad and granddaughters strawberries. Finally got salad after half of meal was gone but no strawberries. We forgot to remind the second time and forgot till we were miles away
Wednesday 2/23/22Kenzie helped us out tonight. We were in a little rush because it's church night. She was attentive and pleasant, and my chicken fried steak was fork tender! The experience tonight is better than it has been in a while here. Food was fast and delicious. The rolls have shrunk recently, but are still delicious. Super job for the whole crew!
