This place has a great location, lots of parking, a nice large building, great service, and that’s it. We had shrimp fajitas, chili con queso and quesadillas. Nothing was very tasty. The service was excellent. The prices are higher than you would expect for the quality of the food. This is the second time I have been to this restaurant and been disappointed.
We enjoy stopping in at Del Rio. The restaurant is always clean and service is fast and friendly. The bar salsa is hot and spicy if you are looking for a kick. The food is fresh and delicious. We are never disappointed. I had the tamales which were amazing and my husband got his favorite, beef fajitas. We will definitely be back.
Good family time on my birthday after the Lufkin Art Guild showcase & Exhibition.Food is always good & the waitress was just ok. Seemed too busy with other customers near the end of our meal. Still good food! $$$
Awesome place to stop!! Great service!! Tacos are HUGE and filled with meat not just lettuce and tomato!!! We are from out of town but will definitely stop again when passing through❤️❤️❤️
Not even close to being classified as Mexican food. Rice no flavor, tortillas are not home made, btw American cheese is not part of a Mexican dish. Margarita terrible and I ordered top shelf. The decor is about the only nice thing in here
Ate here last Friday night while headed to Tyler. I got the Crawfish enchiladas and my dad got the Tacos Al Cabon. The sauce on my enchiladas were very good, I wish I had a bottle of it to take home, crawfish was also good, bens were decent but the rice...was horrible, it looked and tasted like some kind of instant cheap stuff from a cheap TV dinner. But to be honest we have a Cafe Del Rio back home in Beaumont, Tx and it's always been known for having great drinks, like the best (the swirl is my fave) but the food being only mediocre. The salsa has improved since the last time I ate at one. Bottom line, I'd try them again but hope they improve on their rice. Our waitress was super nice, wish I would have gotten her name. Hey this place was packed tho, like no where to park, so obviously people like it and I was surprised we didn't have to wait for a table for 2.
ordered combo fajitas, spouse ordered craw fish enchiladas and subbed sauce to Verde. fajitas arrived with tails on shrimp, no green peppers and not sizzling, no flour tortillas. enchiladas were cold, remade them blamed the sauce, really? cold verde sauce, 2nd plate still cold, no sauce brought separate as asked, WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. waitress really tried but can not fix the kitchen
We have eaten at the restaurant several times. Each time we order any thing with tortillas, they are tough and taste raw. The food would be so much better if the would steam/cook the tortillas before making enchiladas or frying crisp for tacos. We probably will not be back. If we read a more favorable review on this subject......maybe!
I ordered to go. The service was good. The food not so great, although I may be back and try again maybe even try something different.
Everything was very delicious and even with a packed house food came out quick
