Excellent. Was finally able to get there since moving to Lubbock. I like my tacos in a bowl like a salad kind of... They accommodated everything and made suggestions on what to order.. didn't feel rushed to order which was awesome since we didn't really know what to get. Manager was seen working alot clearing tables. I do love seeing a manager of any establishment out with the employees... Just shows meet they care and are a good role model.
I'd been to the other Torchy's in downtown before, and was really excited to order an Ace of Spades. Unfortunately they were out of sausage and wouldn't offer substitutions. The matador was still a good option though. While they are pet friendly, bring your own water bowls and don't expect them to offer up anything more than a small plastic cup of water for your dog.
Food was fine per usual. Queso was good. Chips were insanely salty. But this review is mainly just because the guy at the register was on his phone the whole time I was ordering and he didn’t greet me, but instead stared at me until I said something. I don’t know how else to describe the conversation other than he made a couple passive aggressive comments. No big deal really but it wasn’t the most pleasant experience so thus the 2 star rating (assuming 3 stars is average).
Supposed to be more about the atmosphere and not the food, or is it the other way around. Nonetheless, not a place that meets the needs. A place to go if other places are busy. Ordered a beef burrito that was more a rice burrito with couple pieces of beef. They should consider changing the name to rice burrito. Way better options when it comes to tacos or burritos in Lubbock.
Tourchy Tacos on west end shopping center has nasty and filthy restrooms- worst place to visit and enjoy. If this’s a indication of their cleanliness- there’s a problem in the kitchen too.
REALLY nice Torchy's location! Just passing through from Austin and stopped in for a Roscoe (cuz you really can't have it too many times in March!)
Finding vegan options that actually taste good in Lubbock is really hard. Fortunately, Torchy's made it a lot better with their vegan tacos. The next time I come to Lubbock, I'll probably eat there every day. They were delicious tacos! Plus, the staff gave us wonderful service!
This location got everything exactly right! Torchys is great and this site does it perfectly.
Two Wranglers, extra Diablo sauce, chips and queso, this is the way!
We had to have our food remade. We would have loved for them to just pop it in a microwave. But they don't have any so we dealt with what they had. Over all the food was great but cold
