I love coming to eat at Montelongo's! The food is always SO GOOD! The dining room and bathrooms are clean, the Cashiers, Waiters and Waitresses are super friendly and nice too! I always leave with a Full Belly and a Smile on my Face! Some of the best Chips and Hot Sauce EVER as well as some of the BEST Carñe Guisada in Lubbock Texas. 10/10 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND eating here if you're visiting Lubbock or if you want to eat somewhere if you live in town! I got 3 tacos and they were the nastiest tacos I have ever eaten. The first thing I asked them when I walked in was did they have any green sauce and he proceeded to tell me yes when they didn’t. Tacos has 0 flavor just tasted like oil. When I got my tacos there was nothing but meat on it no onions, cilantro or cheese. It was an overall 1 out of 10 only because their queso is decent.
Food was really good, hot sauce & chips are very good. Staff were very good. I visit at least 2 times a month, this is real food not chain mex food.

DO NOT GO TO MONTELONGOS!!! Service, especially front staff, are rude & disrespectful. Food is not good. Beans/rice/tortillas were cold. They charged me wrong. There are other great Mexican food in Lubbock.
Dry. So dry. Had to use salsa from the chips to give my tacos some kind of flavor.The service was beyond incredible, which is why it gets a point, but burnt rice and super dry tacos with watery beans are not what I'm looking for in a meal.
Greasy, food. Doesn't tast authentic. Definitely false advertisement. Bad customer service, with ladies who look like they don't want to be there.
The food is AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Always served hot. They need to do a better job on their business hours and one day done in is open the next day it’s not. Consistency is key people! You will loose business that way.
This place had very delicious food. One thing I like to get for the family is their barbacoa.
Awesome when dinning room is open Mexican food does not taste good to go food gets soggy and chips not so crunchy
