Our party had one of the best nights, during sadly probably one of the worst nights for the restaurant. Their system had been hit by lightning and they had to do everything by hand. But because we'd called ahead and had a large party coming in they went ahead and seated us. Now I'm sure your experience will differ from mine, but when the chips are down this restaurant shined, everyone from the manager down to our server was extremely kind and considerate, bending over backwards to take care of us.Oh and the food was absolutely phenomenal 10 out of 10, a true lubbock gem!
I really meant to take some pictures, but completely forget. I am giving them a 5 star rating on the strength of their staff. I was greeted by numerous staff members and at least three thanked me for coming in to eat. I ordered a New York Strip. I ordered it medium rare and it came out just about right. My one complaint was that a couple bites were salty. I assumed it was their seasoning rub. When the manager visited, he was greeting customers, I spoke with him about it. He offered to redo the steak as appropriate. However, I felt the steak was fine as it was. He did take my comments seriously and was a great listener. So, I can't say it was the best steak, it was good but not great, but it certainly was a good visit enhanced by the friendly staff and I would gladly return for another visit.
We went on a Friday night. It was busy but not too busy. The host greeted us very nicely. Je got us to a booth in a short time. The food was great. And not to mention a couple behind us paid for our food just because. I didn't get my server name but we loved him. His service was really good. We did indeed leave him a nice tip. He made sure we didn't need anything. We're going back to try the lamb chops
Had steak and country fried chicken, both were delicious. Wait staff worked very hard to ensure satisfaction.Only negative was that it took nine minutes to be acknowledged upon entering. No one else was waiting to be seated, several employees glanced our way as they walked by. Double checked to see if we were entering after they were closed but it was two hours yet. Was wondering if we should leave when we were greeted and seated.I'd recommend staff walking by be trained to at least greet and let customers know someone will be with them soon.Otherwise, after awkward start, was a great experience.
I had the chicken-fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy. You get one side; I went with fried okra. The steak, which was tiny, was incredibly over salted, to the point of suspecting sabotage, lol. I should have sent it back but I didn’t say anything. I have never seen fried okra prepared this way. It was whole, stem and all! It’s like the cook didn’t want to go to the trouble of slicing it like I’ve always seen it prepared elsewhere. Even though it was fairly crisp on the outside it managed to be slimy and tough on the inside. The fried food was very hot but the mashed potatoes were room temperature. My server never asked me how the food was, probably knew better, ha, ha. All in all a huge disappointment for $15 with no drink. The other time I ate here I had a very good steak house style burger and fries. I might be back for that in the future but sure not for what I ate today.
Delicious as always. The bartender Johnathan was great. He made sure we were happy with our meals and we had interesting polite conversation with him as well. He made our drinks as expected.☺️Got the shrimp with peppers as an appetizer, and a big juicy steak for dinner. It was cooked to perfection.
Well, I can't believe it, but I think I may have food the best wings I've ever had...believe it or not! The strawberry pecan salad...wasn't a big salad eater, until now! That thing is amazing as well.Of course the filet is seasoned just right cooked to perfection.I'll def be back for the wings, when that craving calls.
Whoever is in charge of seating is horrible. Poor waitress had way too many tables. She was new on the floor. She was only able to check on us twice in the 2 1/2 hours we were there having to wait. Steaks were way under cooked and after spending over $140, I should have had much better service. It was not the waitress fault. It always starts with management. Will never return.
The Cowboy ribeye was amazing, the wings were the best I've EVER had. And our server, Sarah was fast and friendly. I'll def be back for those wings!!
Our server was very friendly & offered suggestions when we were indecisive on the meal options. She checked on us often & even took my disappointment in a side dish well, offering to take it back & to choose a different one. I declined but greatly appreciated her thoughtfulness.
