Stopped in here for a late lunch after work and before heading home. Menu’s we’re somewhat well used, otherwise things were not bad. Their stuffed mushroom appetizer was VERY yummy. My wife had the Chicken a la mer that was delicious and I had the garlic seafood pasta, I was a little disappointed that I had to play hunt the seafood in amongst all the pasta, but it was tasty non the less. Props to our server who was in the restaurant by her self and was super busy, but still managed to provide good service.
Since this is far from the office we decided to go have some Cajun. Place is still the same as it was 15 years ago. Great wait staff great atmosphere excellent food. Blackened fish with dirty rice. Stuffed catfish one of my favorites. Get a box to take some home as so much food to eat during lunch. You may want to top it off with a Bloody Mary!
Really disappointed ☹️. We had the rice and beans, popcorn shrimp, catfish bites and blackened chicken Alfredo. The fettuccine and catfish bites were edible, but EVERYTHING lacked flavor! The shrimp looked really great but tasted like fried flour. The red beans and rice were trash.. I've been here once before and had a different experience but this was years ago. Won't be back
I was in Lubbock on a business trip out for lunch and looking for a good place to eat. IA co-worker and I stumbled on to the Jazz Louisiana Kitchen and decided to go there for lunch. I was in New Orleans on a business trip last month and had great creole dinning options there so my expectations were very high. I was not let down. The food was great and the portion was quite enough to eat. I had a shrimp and blackened catfish with dirty rice and vegetable medley. The food was awesome and the price was RIGHT!
Zero stars. My first bad review ever but this NOLA girl says… NO, just don’t do it. Don’t eat here. 3 tries and DONE! Not a place to chill or hangout either. They have bartenders who don’t know how to make simple drinks or shake drinks. Sorry, over 100 restaurants in Lubbock that I deserve and I will give 5 stars to, but Jazz is a zero. Disappointed for sure.
The stuffed catfish - blackened! It's amazing. So is the Chicken A La Mer. Get with with pasta instead of rice. Always a great time and food is always top notch.
If I could give this location a 0 stars I would. I would consider the star to be given to Favors the delivery service. According to the pictures on their website they offered beignets. Me and my husband ordered them but when they arrived via delivery, they were actually shaped like hush puppies. I called and spoke to the manager and she was very rude and stated that she looked at them and they were approved and nothing wrong with them. I explained my concern and she continued with the nonchalant attitude. I expressed that I wanted a refund and she said that she couldn't because we order through a third party. I expressed that something needed to be done because what we received was terrible. She offered a gift card but when I asked for her name she hung up. I called back and asked for the managers name and her managers name. The manger that I spoke to was Dominique Barnes and her manager is Tracy Brown. I will not recommend this location.
Long time hometown Lubbockite who finally ate at Jazz for the first time last night, had the crayfish fettuccine, it was EXCELLENT. The sweet tea was also perfect. Definitely will be coming back soon, thank y'all for a great meal all the way around! 5/5!

Wow what a great place. The food was out of this world. My husband and I are big foodies so we try a lot of new places. We are just moving into the area and we decided to try this place out. Well we will be making it a habit. I had the blackened cat fish with al mer sauce and it was fantastic. My husband's tuna was also wonderful. Staff was great. Please do yourself a favor and try it out.
