Three of us were 1st time diners and we all had a boil. To begin, we had the crab meat balls (9) which were very tasty, then 12 raw oysters on the 1/2 shell which were so big and meaty and a great deal for $20. For my boil I chose 1/2lb. scallops and 1/2lb. New Zealand mussels in the medium spicy, Hook and Reel special sauce and added broccoli. When I received my food, I thought they had made a mistake and gave me a pound each of the crustaceans because the portions were so generous. There was also tonnes of broccoli. The sauce was quite spicy and left my lips tingling but all around great freshness and flavours. Our waiter was excellent keeping our drinks filled and he checked on us regularly. Will definitely return.
My oldest daughter and I went there and loved the boil with the hook and reel seasoning. we shared and had plenty leftover. The service was great as well!
We went in to be seated and have a drink & app while waiting on the rest of our crew to get here. That's when the host said that we could NOT be seated "unless 70% of our party was already there. WHAT???? We were there - ready to spend some hard-earned money and they said 'no'?? So we left. immediately. That is a poor way to run a business!! So we are across the street enjoying a tall one while waiting for our party! Your loss, our gain! Will NOT be going back anytime soon, promise you that.
the food was Amazing for my first time
I enjoyed it. Great customer service, clean facility, and food was pretty good. Went here when it was pretty busy and everything still came out quick. My only downside here was that my beer was very warm when I got it, other than than that, I'd recommend this place.
I will start off by saying the food was good and I really didn't have an issues or complaints there, the boils are good and hold up to other restaurants with the same kind of menu. However I would say don't waste your money here and eat somewhere else, like Royal Seafood Shack which has great customer service unlike Hook & Reel. From the rude guy that was a hostess to the waitress, the customer service was lacking very much. We waited for 2 hours to try out the place only to really just want to leave because of the bad experience. Honestly I get it's possible maybe everyone there may just be over worked and having a bad day but it seemed like the whole staff was not happy, I rarely eat out and have such rude customer service. Skip this place and eat local I'd say.
First time at this establishment and left very happy. I have ate at many broil style restaurants and this stacks up with the best of them. The Host was very quick to seat us and was very kind to me and my family. First impression is that it was very clean and the atmosphere was amazing. The background music was a good mix.Our waitress Cadee was so friendly and courteous. She went above and beyond. She checked her tables regularly and was quick to respond to request. The team as a whole was exceptional they all helped each other and the manager was making her rounds and was very nice.We are a family of 5 and the food was priced really good for the quality of food we received. The hush puppies we had as an appetizer and they where so good. The shrimp boil is out of this world and had amazing flavor. Easily enough food for 2. I highly recommend this place if you love broils and good atmosphere.
We ate here foe the first time tonight. We'll be regulars. We sat at the bat instead of waiting on a table. Destiny and Hailey the bartenders rock. Not only did the serve our drinks they got our food orders promptly and made sure we were taken care of. They rock.
Nothing special about the menu, po boy sandwich mostly lettuce and bread. came with one side. got broccoli but was still charged extra for it so really doesn't come with a side as shown on menu. Also understaffed as most places are but just real slow.
the awesome seafood and Cajun spices
