When we walked in the hostess was rude to a family of three and a child she told them the wait was 35 minutes the lady stated she has just called and was told there wasn't a wait. There were plenty of open tables. They sat us next to the kitchen it had a horrible smell in the restaurant the restaurant was filthy I had to ask to get our booth wiped because there was some sort of sauce on the seat. We received the wrong order then had to sit and wait to get our meal made according to what we ordered. The waitress Debra never came around to check on us my meal was extremely salty I couldn't even eat it. The manager Becca was NO help to our concerns she was sitting in the office according to the waitress and took her time coming to talk to us about our concerns. There were no apologies for our bad experience nor did the manager Becca come back to see if the issues were corrected! The menu is smaller than prior to covid. The only thing good was the butter croissants and the side salad.
Picked up an order to go, they gave me zero utensils....I tried calling, to bring it to thier attention but received no answer.Alright cheddar you win, I will eat my mashed potatoes with my fingers, but I am giving you a 1 star for it.*** I am editing this post because the food was so good. Hands down the best chicken fried steak I have ever had.
Took over an1hour for our food to come out & ordered a monster cookie for dessert. Waited 20 min no dessert manager came out apologized & said they would take care off the dessert. The manager delivered the dessert & walked off said nothing even after I said thank you. To top it off the cookie we got was cold & hard not fresh. They use to be really good now I don't think I'll be going back.
Got Cheddar's for dinner tonight, didnt realise they were using food additives to up my iron intake. Not only did we have to wait 40 minutes for our food on a to go order but it came with a metal clasp of some sort. Thanks for making this whole night, a night of a subpar quality dining experience extra bad.
I remember the Cheddar’s I went to in Midland. I never reviewed it. Because I didn’t want to say anything bad. This Cheddars in Lubbock is FANTASTIC. I got the best Waitress. She was very attentive. We chatted awhile, and when she brought my Monti Christo to me and I took my very first bite? I felt as though I was in Heaven. It was prepared to perfection. I hadn’t gad one if these Sandwiches in almost 30 years. So it brought back great memories.
We never eat here we are in down for funeral arrangements and the rest of our party suggested this place. The food was meh, me and my wife had the Monte Cristo the batter was not fully cooked. They forgot one of the other members of our parties food then when we mentioned it they said they were sorry they'd be back apparently they just forgot to make it... when they returned the order was for a shrimp pasta dish they said they had just dropped more chicken tenders??? They didn't even know what was missing... I will say you won't starve to death, but I wouldn't bring a date here.

Yesterday me and my bf went to cheddars and we had gotten our usual plates. I got the new Orleans pasta which I recommend. And I also got a island tiki . The customer service is always above and beyond.. thank you for that ?
Spinach/chips. Excellent! Chicken pot pie, very very good. An appealing meal. Excellent service. I do wish the restuarant would seat parents with kids in a different dining room. I come to enjoy my meal, not to hear some kid crying or carrying on. Please be more accommadating.
We were a party of two that was seated promptly. It had been 4-5 years since we had ate at Cheddar's since we weren't in the area recently. Decided to give it a try since in the past it was a good experience typically. We were seated promptly just in time to wait 10+ minutes for a waiter to come introduce herself thinking that some complementary honey butter rolls would make up the delay. (Nice gesture, but we typically don't eat anything sweet). Our waiter left us with the rolls and we waited another 5 minutes before she reappeared to take our drink order. We ordered two drinks from the bar and they delivered quickly but were less than subpar. (2) Margarita's that had very little flavor or desire. Guess we should have gone to a Mexican Restaurant.Once we ordered food, two entrees were received about 20 minutes later and one of the entrees was not as ordered. The server explained the menu was incorrect and that we should have simply requested the sauce that was listed on the menu because the menu was incorrect. (Never informed prior to order or asked).Food was less than enjoyable, simply bland and nothing to be excited about. It seemed that zero seasoning was present. I always take leftovers due to serving sizes being absolutely insane these days at restaurants, however we left everything behind this time. I even offered a bite to my wife to make sure I wasn't missing something. Apparently the kitchen missed their part. (We eat out quite often lately, especially moving back to Lubbock recently). Unfortunately this has been our worst experience in the past 2.5 months.I would like a response from management, I'm hoping that we had an off experience. If that's not the case, which I find hard to believe, please find a new position for the waiter as she should probably stick to cleaning tables due to her attentiveness and her ability to comprehend a menu and what should be delivered.I hardly ever review restaurants, especially recently due to staffing shortages and the supply chain shortages around the country caused by our terrible leadership in this country. (Another story for another day).As we know in customer service, a bad experience - a customer will tell 10+ friends about. However a positive experience most customers will tell less than 3 about things about because there is nothing to complain about.Something to consider when spending our hard earned money these days.Thanks.
