This place always has good eats!! But know that it is pretty LOUD in there - if you don't want a 'bar atmosphere's, you might want to choose the semi-outdoor patio seating. Still close enough to the "action" but in comfortable family or 'old people's (like me ? 56 yrs here...)But this is a great place - I have no problem recommending it to y'all!! Have fun!! ?
Hearing about Caprock from the locals had my expectations high. The service was great and very friendly but most of the food missed the mark. I think I ordered the wrong thing but the burger was just that, nothing special. We were suggested the green chicken jalapeño poppers which were the best ones I've had in a while and a must order. Order two.

I had forgotten just how good Caprock Cafe is. The mafia queso is on point, as are the chips and salsa. I had the 1/4 lb. Cheeseburger, fries, and a non-alcoholic beer(work). Everything was delicious. Caprock Cafe is a Lubbock staple for a reason. Good food, right price, and friendly service.

Pretty cool place. Good food, when there is a wait that wait can sometimes get to be pretty long, but it’s certainly a tasty and unique place to eat in this otherwise relatively tasteless and boring town. I like their menu as well as their food
Yes we eat at this Cafe a quite a bit but the last few times we've noticed in the past I'll order the green chicken chicken enchiladas but when I get them they're always cold in the middle and we always bring it up to the waitress attention but it seems like no one cares it's like their oven isn't heating equally and we also notice that the waitress only comes around to take your order bring your drinks and brings a check they don't check on you to see if everything's all right during the meal and we also been going to this place on and off for the past 5 years and we've noticed every time we go in there and eat if you're not drinking alcohol you are the waitresses least concern we went on there January the 31st of 2022 and we was paying attention to the table in front of us and notice since the guys were drinking alcohol they were waiting on about every 2 to 3 minutes and the waitress would walk by our table and never asked me and the wife if we needed anything our glasses wasn't refilled and they wouldn't bring us any more chips I guess it was maybe because we was drinking water and not alcohol so I guess since we don't drink alcohol with our meals we get poor service so I feel sorry for anybody that comes in there to eat and don't drink alcohol because they're going to get the same service I guess it may be time for us to take our business somewhere else since we're not alcohol drinkers we always believe in tipping the waitresses good when they wait on us good the service like this they don't deserve a tip
Really nice looking place. Great food. I got a burger and it was the best burger I have had in years! I recommend this place to anybody who loves burgers. Also, the staff is really nice and enjoys assisting you. The images on the wall are really nice, plus if you want to watch any kind of sports while eating, this is the place.
Caprock Cafe has been on my regular rotation for about the last year. Service and food has always been good even with the challenges of the Pandemic, supply chain problems, etc. However, recently things have been slipping noticeably. Today I had one of the their deluxe 1/2lb burgers, the blue cheese bacon burger. They have discontinued the option of having the large burger prepared with a single large patty. This is how I always ordered it. It pretty much guaranteed a freshly prepared, hot juicy burger! Now you can only get it with two quarter-pound patties. My burger had two over-cooked and/or pre-cooked and warmed over patties, dry and shriveled up. The blue cheese crumbles and the fresh lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc did help salvage it. The fries were good. Had a friendly and competent server, like always. My check with a 20% gratuity and tax was just over $20, and that is with only water to drink. For that kind of money for a burger basket you should be able to have your burger the way you want it! I hope this slippage in quality is only a temporary blip and things will be back up to snuff soon.
