Let me start by saying, I'm not a big pizza fan other than home made. This was by far, without question, the best pizza I've ever had.Service was excellent, it was fast, clean, welcoming.I drive 3 hours to Lubbock to take my child to a pediatric cardiologist- this is a huge stress on both of us. We've made a habit of trying a new restaurant each time we visit Lubbock - after their appointment to just kind of relax over food and destress. We know where we're going next time, we absolutely agreed, no debate.
This place is great. We came here for dinner on a Sunday evening and had a great time. I thought the prices were very good for 2022 for both food and alcohol. We had the Jalapeño popper pizza and it was good. I thought the crust/dough was great and I enjoyed the novelty of the pizza.I also liked the decor. I would describe the motif as unabashed "Texas". Lots of cool stuff to look at and the place felt bright, warm and welcoming. I think people who rate this restaurant poorly must be commie liberals or something. We are definitely coming back here next time we are in town.
Doughy. Underdressed. Overpriced. Dry. Poorly spiced. I apparently need to write at least 100 words but there's not much more to say. It was about 3 inches of crust all around. Very disappointing.
We visited Lubbock and wanted a late lunch, chose Capital Pizza. Wow, had a tomato, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella pizza. The crust was perfect, and the ingredients were fresh. BONUS - the bottom of the pizza box has a target printed on it, and can be used for target practice!
We ordered a Margherita pizza with onions, cilantro and spinach. On the menu it said, margarita pizza came with a base homemade marinara sauce. Our pizza had no sauce to begin with and all the toppings were missing. We paid 30$ for a pizza that was dry and uneatable! Really disappointing experience:(
One of the best pizzas I've had in Lubbock. The pricing does match the quality of the food, which is great.
The pizza itself is excellent; I think they are the best in Lubbock. I made the HORRIBLE mistake of ordering Thai sauce, expecting something a little spicy--instead, it was sickeningly sweet. I had to throw the pizza away. Thank goodness I had a cheese pizza with marinara to fall back on! Perhaps a description of the sauces would better inform customers so they won't make the same mistake I did.
I went to Capital for the first time last week, and it met all of my expectations. The place was quaint, the service was professional and good, and the food also was very good! My sandwich was perfect, and the potato salad was very tasty. My friends also enjoyed their food, too. The location is great and not too far from campus. I will definitely back the next time we are in Lubbock! I like that it is local as well.
I ran a poll on a Facebook food group for supporting local supporting restaurants. This one came out #1 for pizza. Long story short, we would not go back for pizza BUT their sweet chili wings were AWESOME.
The Korean BBQ wings are juicy and flavorful, the pepperoni pizza has a home made marinara sauce with a unique flavor, pizzas are big.
