Absolutely the best place to get home style, Southern cooking! The Chicken Fried Steak was AMAZING! The sides were some of the best I've ever had! Even my 6yo daughter LOVED IT! And to top it all off, Lisa, our server was just as kind and sweet as she could be! I've even become friends with the owner, Dorothy!!! I can barely wait to go back and try the chicken!!!
Had appetizers...gizzard and fried green tomatoes very good... chicken was good but sides were bland and were like room temperature...mashed potatoes were dried out...
Great food, great service. Fried chicken was fresh and hot, not overly salty like some places we've tried. Sides are served family style (biscuits, creamed corn, green beans, and gravy) and are unlimited, as long as you order a main protein.Place was clean and friendly. Looking forward to returning to try the chicken fried steak, and the chicken and dumplings. Price was reasonable especially considering the amount of food that they serve you.
I loved the food. I had the fried chicken. The sides are served family style at the table. The green beans are like grandma wishes she made. The cream corn can stand on its own. I just wish I would have gotten the pot pie and the chicken-n-dumplings to go. Friendly service and a family atmosphere completed the lunch.
The food was fine. Chicken was good. Not exceptional, nothing really amazing here. Sides were filling but nothing that good.Service was not good. They were nice and kind; no one was rude or anything. They have a sign saying they are understaffed but it really wasn't that busy (plenty of staff for the time we were there) and no one was moving quickly, or even trying to make up for it like they were overrun. Had to ask for refills on everything every time.Pricing for a family with kids was way too complicated. I get the concept of trying to cover the cost of all-you-can-eat, but it was too much. 3 kids alone ages 6 and under cost us $21 for maybe $5.00 food cost they ate. Adult pricing is not listed on the menu. $14.99 for my wife's dark meat and $13.99 for my mixed. Yes, I get this comes with unlimited sides but the sides weren't good enough to want much more.Two extra things: kids' drinks need lids and I do not like taking chicken home in a plastic bag.Overall, I have no plans on going back.
Food was spectacular. Portions of your choice of meat along with unlimited sides is very filling. Our service was great and very attentive we were in along with a few other tables and 1 large group of 20. Our food was super fresh and in a very timely manner. We will definitely be back as soon as possible
First time experience and it didn't fail to impress. Love that the sides are served family style and are unlimited. The chicken and dressing was delicious. The servers were warm and engaging.
The WORST fried chicken!It was greasy!!!Their mashed potatoes and green beans were VERY salty, UGH!We didn’t get any so called biscuits… then we had to wait 20 minutes for this LOUSY food!I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!Save your money go anyplace else!
Food was delicious . Biscuits was fabulous. Price was ridiculous considering being chicken . And having to pay for sharing fee . Then on top of that to take home leftover chicken I was given a bag . " no bucket " so no love ! My sides I had to pay for containers ! Was told I had no option of different dressing which is fine but was told all salad has dressing so couldn't get my salad dry .. my husband doesn't eat cream corn. And choice of regular was not a option . No substitution !
We absolutely love this place! Every side and chicken entree we have ordered is delicious. You definitely need to ask for the honey hot sauce because it is a game changer. The banana pudding is also fantastic. Super friendly and hardworking staff- overall a great environment!
