We love Thai food and are always willing to try new restaurants while on vacation. This seems to be a family business. So don’t expect ambiance, it’s just a little place in an older building. But their food was good, and large portions! My husband and I ordered Tofu Pad Thai. I missed the bean sprouts and lime wedge that I normally receive at most places and got more cabbage than I really wanted but the flavor was very good. My son usually orders Masaman Curry at home but this restaurant did not have that. They suggested instead Gang ga ree. It was wonderful, he like it better than his firm standby. Price is great! Food is great! Atmosphere, well, 2 out of three is pretty dang good. We would be back if we lived near here.
An absolute hole-in-the-wall gold mine! The place is small and is always packed when I try to eat. However, they prep and serve the meals extremely fast! The building is over 50 years old, the place is humid, A/C is broke, and the dining furniture is well over 40 years old. However, it's worth the lack of luxury to enjoy a meal from this place! I've eaten here with a group of 20, as well as have brought a small group of friends and family here.Food is delicious. And if you like it spicy, let them know, they've got different levels of heat at your disposal!
Very unassuming eatery but I can see what this is a local favorite. Small seating area and a steady stream of traffic. #legit
Bangkok Thai is one of the best restaurants in Lubbock. The food is always amazing. The spicy Pad Thai is my favorite but you can’t go wrong with any dish. The owner is always so friendly. Great prices, never have to wait when I call ahead.I highly recommend this place!
They provide a lot of food, we couldn't finish the food. Overall tasty and has lots of variation in the menu.
We LOVE Bangkok Thai! Their Beef Noodle soup is a favorite! It is similar to a beef pho. Their service is always so fast we always get our food minutes after ordering. Highly recommend giving this place a try!
Super delicious food. Really enjoyed the fried rice and the pork on the stick . The egg rolls was on point and the beef and broccoli with noodles and gravy !!!!!! Super fast service and friendly staff. Large portions !!!!!!! Definitely recommend!!!!!!
Unfortunately this was a No for me. I went in for Pho and it was the weirdest Pho I've ever had! When I got it I was so confused Like what the Pho is this??? The Beef is cooked! it had broccoli and cabbage in it! The noodles were cooked as well also very little Beef came with my order. There was no other meats to choose from like in authentic Pho you usually get thin strips of uncooked beef, tendon, tripe, or meatballs or all of these. There was no Bean Sprouts, Mint, Saw leaves, jalapeño or limes! I asked for Hossin Sauce and the guy at the counter said they didn't have any. I get my order and ask the girl who goes to her Dad and asks him and they did have some. If the guy at the counter would have just asked that would have been nice but he seemed more annoyed by my question. I added in the Sriracha and Hossin Sauce but it just did not taste good at all. The egg rolls were good. I was told that this place is really good so I will give it another chance but definitely won't be ordering Pho from here it's not Authentic Pho.
I tried this place for the first time a few days ago. The sauce was sooo watery that we had to use bowls instead of plates. If I wanted soup, I would have ordered soup. The flavor was lacking as well. Just terrible! I will not be eating here again. My search for GOOD Thai food continues.
Modest restaurant. Very clean, tidy & staffed by truly nice attentive people. The food is very good. They have 10 or so soups. Love good Thai soups - especially in colder times. All their soups are terrific. Beef noddle (noodles) or Volcanic soups (rice) differ only by rice or noodles. Both are simply best-of-breed. Their curry soups are so good (yellow is best for my tastes - I stay away from their green curry because it takes asbestos-underwear to even handle their mild version). Their typical Thai street dishes like the Pad based entres are simply excellent … you’ll swear that you’re eating on a street corner cafe in Bangkok. No lie. It’s that good Net/net: All around: this is one of those “rare find, hole-in-the-wall joints serving great chow, nice portions, at a fair/modest price” that we all search for. So, what’s not to love about this? Enjoy.
