Good food service is sometimes slow
This restaurant is so good. I like that they are large enough and have sufficient staff to seat a party relativity quickly -- even without a reservation. The dips and chips are always a fav for me and my group. I will definitely visit again ... and again..
We went on Friday evening to see the Mariachi group. We were advised to get there by 6 PM and sit in the balcony. There is an elevator for people with mobility needs. It was perfect. The food and service were excellent. The balcony was fully seated by 6:05 PM. We had a full view of the Mariachi group on the patio who started their performance at 7 PM. It was a wonderful evening.
Stopped in with a friend for a long lunch to catch up. Just wonderful! Service was impeccable. She joked with us, and gave us space to chat. Food was marvelous and so good. I hadn't had Mexican food so good in so long. The chips, salsa, grilled vegetables, the beans - all were truly delicious. So bummed I don't live in Lubbock, for a would truly make it a regular spot.
Watch out what you ask for, you may be charged extra without being told. Ordered the Fajitas for two (not an inexpensive meal). Food portions are very good; however I asked for additional flour tortillas to finish the fajitas (3 was not enough), the waiter brought them out. Then the check came with a small surprise. An additional $1.50 charged for the tortillas! I know this is not a huge amount and I asked the waiter why I had the additional charge and the response was they want us to charge for the tortillas. I don't know who they is, but they needs to put on the menu that there is an additional charge for additional tortillas for the $35 meal for two. I don't like surprises and I do not like to be Nickle and dimed so Albarran's just fell to the bottom of my list of places to eat in Lubbock.
A co-worker and I went to Albarran's for lunch on the last day of our business trip. This restaurant was recommended by a resident. What a great choice! The food was delicious! We had mexican fajitas with shrimp, chicken and d beef ribs served with rice and beans. The food was awesome and the server was courteous and attentive to our dinning needs. Great Choice!
Great food. Our waiter Ace, was AMAZING!!!
Found all this trash outside the front door. We told the manager about it but after we finished our meal and left, the trash was still there. This looks bad on the restaurant and poorly reflects on management and staff.
our head waiter, Ace, was absolutely amazing!!! he recommended a new dish for my boyfriend to try and turned this place into one of his new spots!!! everything was amazing.!!! highly recommend
Albarran's is one of our favorite restaurants in all of West Texas. While I generally choose the same dish time after time at restaurants, I always try something new at Albarran's. The menu offers so many delectable choices, I and we are never disappointed. As amazing as the food is, the service is even better. No matter who serves us, from the door to the bar to our table, we are literally catered to. If you have't been to Albarran's, you absolutely should. Go... go now!
