The staff here is recycling food that is left on the table from other customers. Me and my brother both ordered a fried combo platter that came on a bed of very cold soggy French fries. (Like they just came out of the refrigerator cold).. I had a bad vibe from the moment I saw that the cashier was ghetto and rude..When we were finished we put the rest in a Togo box and my brother decided to dig down into the cold French fries and discovered a layer of half eaten fries smothered in catchup. He never used catchup for his meal or even tried the fries.The fries had clearly came from another customers plate of leftover food.. It looked like they just dumped cold fries on a dirty plate and put fried fish on top of that… This is very disgusting. We are appalled will be reporting this to the The Texas Department of State Health Services and the better business bureau.. Check your food if you eat here.
Excellent foodBUT...I bought my ump-teenth serving of Key Lime pie yesterday at 800PM.The good taste was not missing, however the serving size was cut by half but the price remained the same....Was this shortcut an employee mistake?Go back to your original serving size and I'll continue to buy your Key Lime pie.
Very delicious seafood. I had the grilled shrimp with coleslaw and the shrimp was very well flavored and the coleslaw, fresh. We also had the fried green tomatoes with ranch and that was equally delicious! Different breading than I have ever had, but it added a good flavor and crunch. Our table also had the boiled shrimp with mushrooms, potatoes, sausage and corn. All very flavorful and delicious! They offer different levels of heat for the seasoning. The portions are plenty, the restaurant was clean and the staff is very friendly. We sat outside and it was nice. They had some of the best music playing too! Journey, REO Speedwagon, Boston, freakin Elton John! It took me back to my childhood when my mom would blast these bands on our way to the beach! Awesome vibe, looking forward to coming back.
Terrible service and rip off! We made an order to go. The kids dinner only came with 2 of the smallest chicken tenders that I have seen a restaurant serve. We ordered a side of okra and it came with 8 pieces max when it was supposed to be much more in a medium sized box. The salad that we ordered had to salad dressing with it. Clearly they aren't very generous with their kids meals or sides. Wont be returning.

This was my 6th visit to The Catch. Until this time, we loved it. Don't know if they have new cooks or what but not nearly as good. My main dish was fried oysters. They were very small, lots and lots of breading and no taste. I bet they were frozen with breading already on them and just tossed into the oil. I ate one and left the rest untouched. I hope it was just a bad night. Not sure when/if I will return. Lots of other seafood choices in the area.
Tricia and I decided to try something new today. If you have not been to The Catch (by Sam's Club), you should give them a try. We ordered the fried fish and shrimp basket and fried jalapeno chips. The fish and shrimp are not heavily seasoned. Tasted like mostly salt and pepper in the seasoning..... but it was very, very good! The fish was good clean white meat. None of the dark filmy stuff on it. And the shrimp were big! The hushpuppies and fries could be better. the fries were limp and not crispy, and the husbpuppies were a bit tough. Not a deal breaker, but could be improved. The fried jalapeno chips..... O.M.G ? The only thing that could make them better is to make them in a combo with fried jalapeno chips and pickle chips!! Oh.... and the customer service was great! The guy at the drive thru was very nice and had a smile on his face. We will definitely be going back and trying other menu items!
Ordered two pounds of boiled shrimp, corn and potatoes today. It was terrible. The shrimp was over cooked and that made them impossible to peel. We ordered them spicy not knowing that “spicy” was covered heavily in salt and red pepper. Their spices are not added to the boiling water they are added on top of the shell after they are cooked. We have eaten at the Catch in Longview since it was opened. The lunch we ordered today was a discredit to the restaurant and the people that have worked to make it a very good seafood restaurant.
Delicious fried shrimp and catfish and the absolute best beignets I’ve ever eaten! Plus everyone was super nice and helpful! Highly recommend!
