Never have had anything here I didn’t like. Chicken and waffles is a must try. Also the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. But it’s all good! Andrea is the best. She takes great care of us when we go. Always goes above and beyond.
We always love Scottie’s - great menu, fresh food, great service! Today Andrea was our waitress and she was amazing - friendly, attentive, sweet! 3 of us ordered the halibut and one ordered the Wednesday special Bistro Burger. All of it was FABULOUS! To get halibut here in East Texas, let alone for it to be so yummy - such a WIN! So sorry we forgot to take pics - we will next time.
I am writing this from both a customer and an employee standpoint.I was given a position as a server with Scottie’s several months ago and quickly learned that this restaurant sets itself apart from the others in the area.Not only is the food outstanding but the staff and the owner were a joy to work for. I have never worked in a true from scratch kitchen before and what I’ve learned in my time there both about restaurant management and good food have impacted me in my personal life and career outside the restaurant.As a single mom with 2 kids it’s really hard to find a company that will support you taking care of your family as much as this one has. I was brought on full time and was able to find a job during the week while not having to be unemployed, and then they were gracious enough to let me stay and work part time as I needed.In addition I’ve had to tell all my family and friends about the restaurant because the food is just that outstanding. I LOVE to eat here on my days off and frequently encourage my inner circle to come try Fancy Friday specials and brunch on the weekends.There is something on the menu for everyone. And it’s all scratch made which is even better(and I mean this literally, pickled vegetables and sauces and everything). The Chef’s are top notch and this is an employer that cares about their employees success.I’m glad to still work here(sometimes) and I’m even more excited to come eat whenever I have the opportunity. 10/10 highly recommend.

Drove an hour to be disappointed. EXTREMELY LIMITED MENU. Don't get your hopes up for brunch. The main course was sold out when we arrived (they told us they had more but were saving it for tomorrow and I offered to pay extra to get one today, which was refused). Outside of the main dish they had either spicey chicken, or breakfast items. We choose to leave, got charged for the sweet tea that was served to us, and then the owner/manager came out to see if there was anything else they could do. I explained I can't eat spicy food and I wasn't interested in breakfast in the afternoon. I mentioned I would be interested in pretty much anything else and was offered a Bloody Mary burger. After I wasn't enticed by the breakfast food he went on to explain that "ingredients are expensive" and "I sell 120lbs of chicken a weekend" and every one likes it. I'm sure he will have an excuse to justify the poor experience, but leaving the options of "Spicey Chicken" or "Breakfast" as the two options is not great.
This was our first visit to Scottie's. Had a group of 4 on a Sunday, so was busy, but we didn't have to wait too long to be seated. Service was outstanding and food was excellent. We were in town helping the in-laws move, but we will be back to this great restaurant with a nicely-varied menu. Great job by the entire team.
Went in with big expectations and didn’t disappoint! The cinnamon roll pancakes were amazing and hard not to eat them all. The steak bowl was just perfect. It’s attached to a gas station so the inside seating is very small, outside seating is available and more comfortable though.
Fabulous locally owned restaurant! Brunch, lunch or dinner you cannot go wrong! Crab Claws, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, Lobster Roll, Cheese Curds and Chicken & Waffle are probably my favorites. Daily specials are yummy as well. Enjoyable patio with beautiful sunsets.
Wow! What a treat. We had been hearing such great things about the food at Scottie’s Bistro that we decided to drive over from Winnsboro to see what all the fuss was about. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious! Fresh, made to order. It was a beautiful sunny day and we enjoyed dining outside on their lovely patio. We will be back!!
