Excellent experience! The staff were all friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious and priced well. The restaurant itself is huge and can easily have multiple parties upstairs. Seating both above and below was spacious and comfortable. We took our whole family here to eat and we could not be more pleased with the service that we received!
2022After moving from Dallas to Longview in a Pandemic... My wife was looking for a GOOD and SAFE Tex-Mex restaurant for family visiting us in Longview.She had all the El Fenix restaurants in Dallas trained since childhood to accommodate her love of traditional TexMex AND her food allergies.Our lunch today was part of her search for a restaurant that provide good food...good wait staff...good table staff...and paid close attention to her food allergies. Very spacious. Good lunch (served til 3 pm) and dinner selections.My salad was wonderful. ... And SHE likes this place too!
Our server was incredible, she checked on us several times. Food was to our table within 15 minutes of us ordering. We love coming in here on the weekends, because the service is always good. I even added and took off some items and my plate came out perfect. It's nice when the servers pay attention to details especially when they watch your drink levels. EVEN when you order water instead of a more expensive drink. Some places never refill your water unless you ask for it, glad this is not one of those.
You come for the atmosphere and the great service, but the food on the other hand... is average at best. There are some better Mexican food places in Longview. Locals will tell you that this place is the best, but DO NOT FALL FOR IT. They only think it's the best because they grew up with it and it's nostalgic for them. If you've had authentic Mexican food, this place will taste like a cheap imitation.
Great atmosphere, delicious food and wonderful staff. Chips and salsa AND fresh tortillas before food even arrives was dangerous only because I couldn't stop myself from eating the deliciousness. A definite stop everytime I am in the area.
Always good food and great service. Extra seasoning on the chips is a must!!

When they sat us down the table was visibly dirty, had salsa and other food on it. The seats did as well. They attempted to serve us chips and salsa before even cleaning the table. The chips themselves were fairly mediocre and the salsa tasted like slightly hot tomato.After asking them to clean the table our waiter finally came by to take our order, her service was excellent, and while she forgot an item we ordered she was very quick to serve us our food and check up on us.The food was pretty decent, but not what I'd say worth it.It was very busy and as most restaurants, things change by who is there. Always take reviews with a grain of salt as it could always be bad timing.
We had a table of 8 and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was great. Try the Mexican pizza, do not expect regular pizza crust like I did, it is a flour tortilla, still good tho..
Love their chips and salsa. Tortillas with honey and butter are outstanding. The food on the menu is your typical Mexican food. I always get full on the chips and tortillas beforehand anyway. Atmosphere us pleasant. Definitely worth going to.
