A couple years ago, I quit going to the lunch buffet....today. we were in the area , thought we would give dinner a try..thought maybe thw food would be fresh since it was 6:00 pm.....for seating, they were packing customers in a small area. The salad bar was skimpy, lots of salad dressing, but no ruffage, small amts of slaw, pasta, etc. As far as food quality, many of the foods that we tried were cold. Restaurant appearance is "dirty"...food on the walls by the tables, floor is nasty, had to go to restroom to wash my hands, bathrooms were nasty, toilet paper rolls on the floor, no paper towels in bathroom, u have rely on the hand dryers....so no way to open the door to leave the restroom without touching the door handle..I'm guessing that the employees use the same restrooms and are unable to guarantee clean hands. Lastly, water had a strange taste, either from water or the ice....I'm guessing the ice, based on the cleanliness of the restaurant, I suspect mold in the ice machine. My personal opinion is that this restaurant needs an inspection by the health dept.
When me and my guest walked in the vibe of us being people of color was magnifiedDid not like the cashier's attitude. Very disrespectful. When being seated didn't like where he was placing us. I asked him could I sit over in another spot . There were people there in that area it was not reserved. And I went over there anyway because I'm a paying customer. You don't have to worry I won't be back. Was No black people coming in. Why? Use to see some every now and then. That raised questions. I think I know. Being watched like criminals No not acceptable!
My husband usually goes to Hupei’s for his Chinese food. We tried them out. The food was ok. The service was horrible. The girl that’s supposed to be passing out the to go plates was busy following me and husband around the buffet area. I guess she was trying to see how much we were putting in our plates. We won’t be going back.
I am going to try and go easy, while still providing the tea....?First things first: Absolutely nothing but food coloring on the fried chicken wings. They add the color for appeal; but overall, I am so embarrassed that my date paid almost $20 for a few chicken wings and a box of rice ? I am a home cook who knows nothing about the area. I was absolutely DEVASTATED when I asked for extra bean sprouts, and was told that they do not even use them.... What type of fried rice are YOU cooking over there ???They play2much for me.
Feb 9 Now I have never felt so disrespected I asked for wonton soup and to my surprise when I got home there was no wontons in either broth that was so disrespectful I am 8 months pregnant and was craving wonton soup specifically if y’all are gonna let me do my own Togo plate let me do my own soup because broth is not it ! Feb 11 tried to try again the lady gone tell me she can give me wonton broth but have to charge me for the wontons since when I’ve always came here and ordered Togo and gotten wonton soup this place is going down the drain it’s not all you can eat when you pay for a Togo buffet you can’t even get the fruits they wanna tell you dine in buffet only will not be returning!
Great variety of Asian food. Even have several TexMex items to select from. The staff is always friendly and helpful making sure you have everything for a good dining experience.
The largest and most distinctive Chinese cafeteria in the city. Seafood, beef, pork, chicken, duck and fish are all available, the chef's cooking skills are good, the taste is Fujian cuisine, sweet and sour, spicy, dessert, fruit salad, Japanese cuisine..
If I could rate this establishment lower I would. Since when is a Lo Mein noodle dish made with garlic seasoning and spaghetti noodles? The food wasn't ready at the agreed upon time (waited 15 minutes after pick up time) and was cold by the time they gave it to me. They acted too busy to be polite and acted like they didn't have time for any other customers either. This isn't authentic Chinese cuisine, far from it. Thanks for ruining a new Christmas dinner tradition for us. Next time Hupei, for sure.
It was what it is!!! Good for quick bite.
Great food we had take out we eaten at one other an this one is so much better then the other. We will be back.
