Early dinner on a Tuesday. Not many people at the time, about 4 o'clock. Greeted quickly. Smelled great. Wife had a burger and seasoned fries. She said the burger was good, but didn't care for the seasoning on the fries... too sweet. I had a baked potato with the fixings... I would have had another if I thought I would finish it.Staff is polite, food ready very quickly and over all very clean. Only suggestion for them would be to freshen up a little, like lighter paint and newer lighting.We have been here many times over the last 20 or so years and will keep coming back. Only regret this time was we didn't get something from the bakery, which is always awesome.
The bakery did an outstanding job on our baby shower cake!!! It looked beautiful and tasted wonderful also. My compliments to the Baker. They are great👏👍😁
They have the best burgers in town. The chicken-fried steak is amazing.They have a separate area with all the fixings so you can customize your Burgers to your liking. They have the usual lettuce, tomatoes, onions plus other condiments to choose from. Best part is the free chili.They also have a great bakery. They offer some really great cookies, cakes and other sugary treats.Staff is really great and the food always comes out fresh and hot. Even this past mother's day with this place extremely packed the staff worked hard to get the orders out and every order came out correct.Burgers and sides are sold separately but if you order one of their meals you get one side for free.
This place is awesome. The food is great and the service is outstanding. They have every kind of cake and pie that you can think of on the bakery side and the burgers are delicious. Love this place. I try to eat here every time I’m in town working.
Ordered the rib eye steak. I was very greasy, fatty and paper thin. I was very disappointed it didn't look at all like the advertised picture (in any way). Baked potato was average. All the fixings for that is on a self serve bar. The burgers my family ordered looked good. Two of my boys ordered the flame thrower burger. They liked it .
Do not eat here! If i could rate even lower I would.This is a patty from the meat department 2 days later in the fridge.The workers did not care what they packed.the managers and owners are careless.Everyone be careful this place use to be the best in town and my go to for fresh meat.The owner told me to call the health department.I guess she knows this place isnt what it use to be and not ran right.I definitely will not be coming back.They can never get it together.just sad.The food has been making people ill.Just read the newest reviews.
We stopped here on a whim for a late lunch. We were glad we did. When you walk in you see the cases with baked goods first. Make your way past that and look for the sign menu. Order at the counter. We ordered sirloin steak and grilled chicken. Both were cooked to order and came with a side. Meat was tender, side salad fresh. Service was great. Staff friendly. Of course on the way out we bought cookies and a pie! Baked goods made on site. Great lunch!

We drive a 20 minute drive to come purchase some of the best pies and cookies ever. We love this establishment and continue to come patronage because of the service the employees give us every single time we come in. We are always greeted with smiles and hellos. We feel very welcomed here. Even when the place is super busy and people are everywhere we still feel we get served at a timely manner. We highly recommend and encourage everyone to come here and experience the deliciousness of The Butcher Shop in Longview, TX ?✝️
Amazing bakery! Chicken Fried Steak was the real deal. Condiments bar was kinda messy but overall really good! Will definitely go again when I’m in Longview. Cheeseburgers looked incredible!
