Food is not that great, it's definitely over hyped and over priced. Had a very uncomfortable experience, a man was saying racial slurs infront of everyone including the manager/owner. I asked the waitress if anything could be done about it because I was uncomfortable and she replied saying that he was a regular customer and that he does this all the time. I have a video of this incident and will be reporting to the BBB.
I absolutely love this restaurant. I get a lot of to go food and sometimes it is not packed well. You guys pack your to go orders so well all of the time. The quality of food is so good and really consistent. Taste like it's made with love. Thx for being so great.
Got a huge southern hospitality as soon as we entered. The burger I got was super filling and they allowed me to customize it exactly the way I wanted. Daniel greeted us with open arms and are server, Anna, was lovely to take our orders and make them.
We just keep going back for their tasty food, large portions, and quick service. Highly Recommended.Phil

Tonight was a first time and we had it delivered. Absolutely amazing!! Husband had the chicken fried steak, son had a breakfast burrito (big enough for a hungry preteen), 2 Littles had the kids pancakes with eggs and sausage (not a bite left), and I had the blueberry pancakes, bacon and hashbrowns. The pancakes were so fresh that the blueberries popped and the bacon was thick and perfectly cut. We will definitely be eating here again!
Great home style cooking. Lots of food for the $$. Great service, great home town feel. Must try!!! You'll love it!
Since I found out about this place, it's become my immediate favorite breakfast stop. Eventually I'd like to try other items on the menu, but for now, I am totally hooked on the spinach & cheese omelet, and I always ask for add-on tomatoes. I get biscuits sometimes, or toast. The coffee and food is just fantastic here, and anyone who hasn't been here yet, is really missing out on a great way to start their day. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is very popular.
As others have said the food here is severely lacking in seasoning. It is almost as if the kitchen staff are unfamiliar with and have absolutely no idea what home cooking cuisine should taste like. I tried the Lewisville location of Mama’s Daughter’s Diner yesterday as the Plano location has been hit or miss for quite sometime. While the chicken in my chicken tetrazzini was plentiful there was absolutely no creamy sauce holding it together. The turnip greens had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. It took quite a bit of salt, pepper, pepper sauce and onions to make them edible. Even the mac and cheese was missing something. I will say the tossed salad was fresh, crisp and green. Service by the kind Sandra was stellar. I’m a long time guest dating back to the Harry Hines location. I think Mama would be disappointed with what her creations have become. Mama’s Daughter’s Diner Lewisville, not awful but could be so much better.
