First time coming here. It took a while but the guy working was by himself, taking order and cooking, and there were a lot of online orders as well- so I understand that. I ordered the sandwich with the hot spice level. The chicken was nice and crunchy on the outside, but juicy on the inside. Coleslaw was good and adds more flavor to the sandwich. I will be back, but next time will get the hella hot spice level because the hot was nothing!
I ordered my meal through Uber Eats. I ordered this at around 3:15 and it showed that 3 different people were picking it up. I finally called them and explained the situation when they told me they gave my order to someone else. I asked to speak to the manager and it sounded like a teenager saying they were the manager but wouldn’t give me a name and never apologized or offered compensation for the actions of having to wait over an hour for my meal. Then I was hung up on when I asked for his name. When I called back 3 different times they wouldn’t pick up the line and when I got my meal it was WRONG!!!! I’ve very very upset with the poor customer service on this restaurant.
Chicken is tender and juicy with the right amount of heat. Not overly breaded. The restaurant is a hole in the wall, so don't let the appearance deceive you.
I've been in another state for 3 years and everyday I miss Helen's Hot Chicken. I've traveled a lot and tried many restaurants over the years. Helen's Hot Chicken will always have a special place in my heart

if you want to experience real Helens chicken go to Nashville. 2nd time in a row order was messed up. First time they missed a whole meal. Today I get there and each of my tender meals were freezing cold and missing a tender. Not to mention HORRIBLE customer service. Tells me he's the owner then says 8 minutes to fix the 3 tenders (he was not the owner. I've talked to the owner personally) I was missing 1 from each meal. I tell him my other 3 orders will be cold, they were already freezing. Then he proceeds to get an attitude and basically told me I didn't have to wait and gave my money bk. How he get mad cause obviously they can't read?! Don't recommend
Absolutely horrible Customer Service! I placed my order by phone. Asked the lady to repeat it back to me and instead she hung up. I called back and told her that I wasn't done speaking and would like her name in case the order is wrong which tends to happen a lot. She refused to give it and instead put management on the phone that was rude and disrespectful as well and said "Your not welcome in here we'll bring the food out to you now do you want us to make it or not?" I will NEVER frequent this place the again. The nerve to think somebody would support this business with this type of treatment towards customers. I have talked to the owner about this same lady with the attitude SEVERAL times. There are also multiple one start reviews about her as well. Yet he continues to keep her. He better hope she doesn't run his business in the ground with her attitude problem.
Love the chicken and catfish it's crispy and everything is cooked right. Fries are great too the wait for the food is worth it I wish this place all the success in the world.

Our experience was not well first off how is this authentic food when they gave us butch beans out of can and charge $10 for a plate my chicken sandwich the meat was burnt then they said the tenders are huge and they weren’t our bread was stale the drink machine was out so if we wanted a refill we couldn’t had to get cans there is so much more I can say about my experience but I’ll keep to myself all I will say is we won’t be going back??♀️
