First, how can you pass a place called Fat Cow BBQ? Second this place proves you can find authentic barbecue in a strip shopping center. The food was great but that's not what is special about this place, there's a lot of places that have great food. What is special is you can tell there's a love for barbecue, they love talking about it, they love sharing it with people, is the kind place where they're so proud of what they do their happiness is in the fact that they get to share it with you. Make sure you try the jalapeno sausage and the red onion potato salad. Most importantly if you happen to be there on one of those rare special days when they have cherry jubilee cookies, steady yourself, it may be one of the best cookies I've ever had in my life. You will hate yourself if you don't try it, and of course you will end up taking more home with you. This is an absolutely delightful little place where you can really feel the love for q!
Very good food enjoyed by all in our party. Thick-sliced brisket, nicely seasoned ribs, hot links, and tasty sides that complement the meat made for a very tasty experience. That, coupled with the genuinely friendly customer service, makes Fat Cow BBQ a solid choice when craving BBQ in North TX, quite easily besting any & all chains in the area.
I’ve eaten here a decent amount of times. I won’t tout it as world class barbecue, but is excellent for what it is. This is convenient comfort food. The rolls are great. The meats taste flavorful and there is a variety of sauces. The Mac & cheese has a definite creamy homemade feel to it. Overall if you are looking for a quick place to grab dinner at a very reasonable price I would suggest fat cow. Owners and staff are very nice. Expect to spend about $7-$10 per person which is an incredible value considering you would spend the same at the fast food joints next door and the food would only be half as good.
Save some room in your belly, the chopped BBQ Brisket is going to taste marvelous, and tantalize your tastebuds with tender, flavorfilled beef. The crew members are very polite, and the restaurant is clean and tiny. I ordered the Spicy Beans (home-cooked seasoning), and coleslaw (perfect sweetness) as sides which only complimented the meal. They have fresh cut condiments (onions, pickles, etc) available, and refreshments on tap. Located just of the highway makes it a great, quick and worthwhile way to settle a big appetite.
Brisket was very good. I recommend getting moist. The chicken is by the pound and so juicy!! Don’t get the sausage. Got a fully loaded potato and that was yummy!
YOU NEED TO EAT HERE!!The FOOD is AMAAAZIING &the Service with ALOHA from Owners AL and Pam is Worth it All!! from the Soft juicy Ribs with The Pulled Pork Taco, Not to mention that ono Brisket and those Perfectly stuffed Bacon wrapped Jalapeños!! YUM! We came in with the whole family and the Bull Party Pack was Perfect to fill our tummys with a lot of goodness, and wasn't bad on our wallet lol! Food made with LOVE is our family's favorite!!! We come from Plano to eat at Fat Cow whenever we want BBQ. BBQ is hard to get right, and even harder to be consistently good but not at Fat Cow BBQ. The food is cooked perfectly every time we come. The owner and staff are great, which is another part of what keeps us coming back.
Best most welcoming resturant I have been to in many, many moons! Al is just great. Took great care of us and treated the little ones like a proud grandpa would. And the BBQ was all wonferful. If you are anywhere I-35 near Lewisville, TX or not, worth the trip. I will become a regular and I live 35 miles away. The oldest of the 3 Gordon's in the family dinner party that night.
Dang! Really good smokey brisket. But honestly I would eat here if the food was bad. So friendly and welcoming. Laughing and they're honestly glad you came in.Keep it up Fat Cow.
I have had the pleasure of eating here multiple times! It’s ALWAYS GOOD ,ALWAYS ON POINT! They have a great staff and owner that bring the place together. The food is top of the line BBQ and the people are a definite plus! GO get you some!!!
