Been living in Lewisville for about a year and have tried a couple different seafood places when I'm missing home back in Louisiana. This was the first place I found that makes poboys like back home. Flakey/crusty bread, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, mayo. That's all that's needed. I'm not saying other places aren't good but it's just too fancy for me with all the extras flavors they add. As you can see, they do not skimp on the shrimp. Catfish platter came with 2 big thick pieces of fish. Mostly fish and not all batter like some places. All in all, spent 10-11 dollars on each which is average. Will try other things!
Fried okra and meat pie were good. Gumbo was very flavorful but I wish there would have been no pieces of shells in it. I loved the taste of the crayfish and shrimp. The half of a crab surprised me. I did however choke on a big splintered piece of what I think was shell and I stopped eating about halfway because I didn't want to eat anymore shells. Ladies inside were nice and the food was cheap. Place could be cleaner. I watched the cooks sling hot oil and water everywhere which did not appear safe.Edit: they forgot my potato salad and I believe the meat pie was reheated from the box of frozen ones in the fridge.
Great little Cajun market and restaurant! We get our crawfish fix on here!!! They are sold by the pound. You can add corn and potatoes to your order for a few dollars more. They also have daily specials. We love Tuesdays because it is the Catch Fish special!!We would recommend this place, but check the hours first!
Never disappoints. Boiled crawfish was juicy, well spiced and seasoned. Good prices. The staff is as good as it’s crawfish! Lots of other fresh goodies!
I've been going to this neighborhood favorite for years now. I usually reserve my only weekly restaurant pass that I give myself for a Saturday special here. The special comes with delicious, perfectly prepared crab legs, a healthy portion of gorgeous shrimp, and red potato and a small ear of corn. This is some good eatin' and I'm so, so, so glad they have survived pandemic and they're still here to serve the community. Thank you!!
The meat patty was under cooked. The blackened cat fish were small and not fresh. Dirty rice and red beans and rice were just ok. If you are looking for good Louisiana food skip this place. The best thing was the diet Coke.
The food was tasty but the prep was lacking. The catfish and the oysters were overdone.
Ordered a catfish plate. This is not catfish. Please be aware they are using other fish instead of real catfish. It was fried too light as well. This was really disappointing!
Nice Cajun place that sells groceries too. Got some Po-Boy bread. Perfect.
Best shrimp po’boy I’ve had in Texas!!! Just like back home!! And the hush puppies...wow! Everything is awesome. Stop by and enjoy some real, New Orleans food!! The staff make you feel like family! We are regulars there now and will be as long as those doors are open!! Fantastic place for delicious food and wonderful service!! 10 stars if I could!!
