Absolutely the best fried Shrimp and best gumbo anywhere! Phenomenal okra, fries, and tea as well. But make sure you always order the crawfish empanadas for the most amazing treat for your tastebuds. Friendly waitstaff make this a go-to spot whenever you're in the League City area, or even in the Greater Houston Area, as you will not be disappointed :)
You’re better going across the street to The Lost Cajun- better food and cheaper prices. We were 1 of 3 tables sitting down yet service was sooo slow. I ordered the catfish etoufee: veggies were drenched in butter, catfish was watery on the inside, and the etoufee was so bland and had a weird texture. My husband ordered the shrimp and crawfish poboy. He said the poboy was decent but the fries were burnt (as you can see in the picture).
Had to go check out the gumbo as soon as we saw the sign near Starbucks. It didn't disappoint! The friendly server suggested The Bourbon platter so we went with that and took it to go. The bacon wrapped shrimp was hot and tasty, the gumbo had just enough heat, ettouffe was dark and rich and the jambalaya was amazing!! We even went back for a beignet made fresh and crisp (maybe not quite as superb as Cafe du Monde but darned close). Recommended!
I am sad to write this. We went to the League City location. They were busy on Friday night. BUT…. my seafood gumbo had little to ALMOST NO seafood in it!!! 5 tiny shrimp, 3 tiny oysters and less than a tablespoon of crab thrown on top. The garlic bread was brought 10minutes before my husbands Étouffée came out. He was almost finished when my, what you could call broth came out. We could even look over that. But the pitifully amount of seafood in my gumbo nailed the coffin. And we were sitting at the bar front and center!!!!Wow ? Another good find bites the dust!!!
Went in today as gumbo sounded good on this cold day. Took about 15 minutes and the order was wrong. Ordered Seafood gumbo got sausage and shrimp. Sent it back and then asked for it to be corrected to what we ordered. Got the second one and it was cold. If you found a sliver of crab in the whole bowl you'd be lucky. This is the third time in a row at this location with these issues. Won't be back.
Very delicious...I has coconut shrimp, spouse had seafood platter. Requested grilled veggies instead of fries...was no problem.Also had gator and fried pickles.Everything served fast, fresh and hot! Had to let it cool off a moment!Have gone back again...lol...this says it all!

The food is always great and the kitchen has been able to accommodate special requests I have made from time to time. The servers are always friendly and show me the utmost hospitality. I often come here for lunch but 16 of us met for dinner here recently and everyone left happy, even those who don’t like “Cajun or seafood.”
Gator was delicious! Fish and gumbo superb.
The food and service was very good!! Will be back!!
