I see so many great reviews and I want to like this place but I have tried it several times and I am just not impressed. I do appreciate the reasonable prices but even that doesn't make up for other shortcomings. The service is generally not good. The people who have seated and served me there seem like they don't care, they're NOT happy to see me, and I am more of an annoyance. There have been a couple of workers who were polite and customer-friendly but they are a rarity. The red sauce is pretty good, the green sauce is kind of gross, and the chips are way too hard and thick. The rice is pretty good, the beans (refried and borracho) are a little bland. I've ordered cheese enchiladas, fajitas, tacos, etc and it all has been bland, dry and kind of tasteless. I give two stars because the place always seems clean and I think you do get what you pay for here.
Yesterday was another date lunch with my husband so, we decided to try Estebans in League City. It was definitely worth the visit. I had the Ensalada de Esteban with Mahi Mahi and their lime vinagarette. I was was delicious and filling. I felt like it was missing something though like maybe some radish or strawberries even. My husband ordered the lunch special neuve #9. He said he really liked it and even needed a small to go container.
I really enjoyed this place. The only reason I’m giving a 4 star and not a 5, is because my husband ordered the special, which happened to be a filet mingon, and it was not good. It was super marinated, so even though it was cooked perfectly, it was brown all the way through. It was also super flat and not like a filet is supposed to be. If we hadn’t ordered that, I’m sure we would have given this place a 5 star rating. Everything else was delicious, including the puffy tacos which is what we came for. Definitely worth a try.
The food is always great. Any order is always fast and delicious. Very courteous staff. Even just the chips and salsa or queso alone, gets me back.
Went to Estebans cafe and cantina today for their Valentines day special ❤️ Steak was cooked to perfection and margaritas were delicious. We enjoyed the quiet family atmosphere. It's a wonderful restaurant that's been around for 34 years in league city. It has been owned and operated by the same man and his 2 sons. Who are all amazing people.
Love their food, chips and salsas! Wait staff always great and fast plus check back often to see if you need refills or additional items! I love their chicken tortilla soup! Lots of chicken, cheese and great taste!
First time trying this place and they are really good. Definitely will go back and eat there. Got a to go order on my way home from work and glad I did. The decor in the restaurant is very cool and the staff were very nice.
Food was good but the service was outstanding. Our waitress, who I wish I could remember her name, was swamped due to being short staffed. She had tables in multiple sections and at least 8-10 tables. But she gave us great service with a great attitude. Great job.
We recently rented the fiesta shack and it was perfect for our daughters birthday party!! The food and service was top notch!! Thank you Cody and team for taking care of us! Will rent again.
