My girl ended up getting me and her family a family meal deal from here. Which I'm always open to trying different pizza ? places. If you don't know by know, I love pizza. But Double Dave's ended up messing my girl's order. She ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, which we didn't find out until we brought the take out home, they gave us a chesse pizza instead. But she paid for 2 toppings... then the food was lukewarm once we got it back and it was made fresh and we picked it up on time, matter of fact we had to wait for it. It should of been piping hot and it wasn't. Sorry to say, One star rating for me and I hate to do that to a pizza place. But I want to be always honest with my reviews.
We are usually big Double Dave fans. We drive about 20 - 30 minutes to eat the buffet. The last 2 times have been awful. The first time, a month or so ago, we figured it was because we were there about 1:30 and the buffet closes at 2 so we excused it. This time we were there by 1. There were several other families there for the buffet. We were told the buffet was "pretty full". It was not. And they didn't put more out either. We ate old pizza that had obviously been sitting there because there was 1 or 2 pieces of a couple of types and they were hard and luke warm. No dessert was put out. A woman was complaining to the manager but he seemed like he was only listening because he had to and didn't really care. I also heard him trying to make excuses, which she countered. I told him I agreed with everything she'd said and that we'd had a terrible experience. He just looked at me and kind of nodded. Sadly, it's not worth the drive anymore. And it's not like it's a cheap buffet either. If they're going to do such a bad job, maybe they shouldn't offer the buffet and stick to delivery and pickup.
This DoubleDave's Pizzaworks keeps making deliciously consistent food. Their dessert pizza is so amazing & mouth watering. It comes with a sugar-cookie crust that is thin and light, topped with chocolate chip morsels and icing. Their buffet is also decently priced, and you can request what pizzas they make next for it. While they closed down back in the day for a little bit, I'm so glad they opened back up. South Shore would not be the same without them in town! If you're visiting or a resident, I definitely would give this place a try if you're looking for a new spin on an Italian and American common food.
Worst customer service and delivery. We have frequently ordered for many years and have noticed that the business has gone downhill. We had a poor delivery experience and called and spoke with Miguel. He said to call and he would comp our next order. I e let that experience go because it felt petty. We ordered again and again the order arrived folded over and incorrect. Once more, I called and explained the situation to Miguel, the manager. Again he apologized and said to order again but to call him and he would make sure it was comp’d and correct. I called tonight for Double Dave’s to make good on the previous errors and Miguel told me he only honors their mistakes if I were to let him know before 3pm. They are too busy to handle issues after 3pm. Double Dave’s has lost a lifetime customer now.
Food quality good, buffet quantity poor. Went there for Stromboli and pizza rolls. My son got two p rolls and then they were all gone. Asked for Stromboli which came after about 20 minutes. Should have asked for pizza rolls.Clearly room to be better, we left disappointed overall.
We are in town from San Antonio and was trying to find a good pizza place to eat at. Drove past Double Dave's and made the u-turn to come in. As soon as we walked in the door the Manager greeted us. The pizza is one of the best pizzas we have eaten. Must try for anyone wanting pizza. And the prices were great. Thank you for an amazing service and great food!
If you’re looking for some amazing pizza rolls and amazing customer service from management, Nick and Miguel, make sure you visit this location. Remember that providing Service to a local business is wayyyy better than providing it to a big establishment! The food and service you’ll get here won’t compare!
For a Wednesday $24 dinner buffet for two, more pizzas are prepared for delivery than are placed on the buffet. Never again.
Best Double Dave's in the State of Texas is this one. I have eaten almost all of them and this place is off the chain good. You thatPHILLY CHEESESTEAK STROMBOLI OMG, it is mind blowing Bruh.
Absolutely the worst customer service and poor product quality.After ordering 2 dozen pizza rolls and adding extra ranch. when I picked up the order, I found that they had taken to go cups, filled them with ranch from the salad bar. they were not the prepackaged ranch that every other Double Daves uses, and they were by weight 50% the quantity, That’s not nearly as bad as 5-inch-long pizza roll, half the size of any other Double Daves. When I called the manager repetitively advised me, he was sorry but that was what I got because that's what they do and have done for two years. I regularly visit Doubles Daves in Denton, both College Station locations, and the Victoria location. I am here to tell you; the League City location is ripping its customers off, and then claiming that it's for our benefit. Customer beware....
