Service was very attentive but super rushed she watched us the whole time we tried to eat and offered Togo plates 5 minutes after we got our food the food was awful I ordered the chicken pot pie one of my favorites and I'll probably never order it again bc of this experience. They did offer me something else but we was ready to leave at this point and just had it removed from the ticket. My husband got the chicken fried chicken with gravy he said it wasn't great but it was edible.
For the most part it was excellent. The staff was great and the food was mostly enjoyable. The only issues I had was that the new bacon mac and cheese was disappointing. It was thin/ watery, plus more chive than mac and cheese. It was also a very small portion (oddly spread out on a plate). It certainly wasn't worth nearly $2. I'll just stick with the normal mac and cheese. Also what happened to the biscuits/cornbread being sent out before your meal? It's a minor thing so not really bothered about it all that much. The rest of my meal (country fried steak) was very tasty and so was my husband's (catfish).
Cracker Barrel rarely disappoints. It lost a long time customer. My wife and I've make a point of having a leisurely breakfast at cracker barrel. They weren't busy, so what could go wrong? My wife uses a cane so it takes real effort to get from the parking lot to the front desk. We walked in and was greeted by manager upon entry. We go to the sign in area but there is no staff to seat us. Waitstaff see us, avert their eyes and new approach us. I call out repeatedly to get their attention. My wife realizes we are being intentionally ignored. We turn to Leave. The manager stops us saying, " Don't leave, he'll get someone to seat us" we decline in disappointment. We shouldn't have to beg to spend our money or patronize this establishment. There were no less than 4 people, including the manager. We were extremely disappointed. I guess we will be going to Kelleys.
food is good! southern comfort food is southern comfort food. the service sucks tho. everytime ive sat down to eat ive waited WAY too long to be helped. the dining area is relatively small and visible entirely from the kitchen why would it ever take over 5 minutes to get a refill of liquid?lets fix that.edit 1/24/22: they're fixing it. service was much better. someone behind me still complained about the wait times but they had someone on the floor watching and waiting for any signs of distress and thats the kinda thing im tryna see. good work y'all. ill be back soon during a full house for that 5th star ❤️
Check your takeout orders before leaving the store! My last four takeout orders had errors in them. 2 errors in tonight's order. They used to go through the order item by item in front of the customer before you left. Now they hand you a sealed bag. I understand the reason for the seal if you are using a delivery service. But it makes little sense when you are personally picking up an order inside. If you are going to seal the bag at least make sure its correct, Cracker Barrel.
We had a great meal, Irma was a great server! Try the loaded sweet potato and the maple chicken with crispy chicken instead of grilled.
I really enjoy coming here. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.The potato hash is AMAZING!The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. The only thing I wished was if they were more diligent in cleaning the tables and chairs (I wiped everything down with clorox wipes because I brought my 1 yr old son...can never be too careful).
Picked up holiday dinner. Good, so respectful staff. Best mashed potatoes & gravy. Cranberry it of this world. DO recommend and worth 99.00....ham turned out great tasting. Would love to get again.
