The crawfish was good! Definitely will be back.The crab legs was small(but for 6.99, it’s understandable) but they was still GOOD. My daughter loved them she had crabs everywhere lol. Very helpful staff, the ladies was running around but they was checking on everyone. Love it!
First time to the Crawfish Hut; was not impressed. Regarding the crawfish: to be fair I ordered the mild since "spicy" is subjective. The mild had little to no flavor but all I had to do was add a little seasoning, some butter and lemon and they were definitely contenders. (Don't think I will be back however if I do, I will for sure order the spicy)Regarding the service: terrible. A waiter took our order and was polite. A waitress delivered our food but that was all. After a few minutes the same waitress was at a table nearby so I asked if we could get some butter (as nothing was offered when the crawfish was delivered). She did bring us some butter but made a remark that our waiter would be there to check on us (as in we were not her table). A few minutes go by and I realize we need some seasoning so as I look for our waiter, I notice he is outside talking on a cell phone. So I wait. Next thing I know he is sitting down at a table enjoying his lunch. He has not come to our table since taking our order, unacceptable. This whole time there were only 2 other tables with customers; when the one near us leaves and the waitress is bussing their table I give her a list of the items we need so we can continue eating. She does get them and then assists a couple other times with drink refills. The waiter doesn't come back until we are nearly done and then lastly when we need the check.I will say the waitress that was working, was actually busy working non-stop during our time in the restaurant. Other than taking our order and closing us out, the only time I saw the waiter was when he was on a cell phone and then eating his lunch. I also never noticed any management present unless it was one of the two people working the floor.I would consider going back for the food but the the service, not really interested.
Discussing i Literally threw all of it away it had grass in it some of the crawfish didn’t even have bodies this is complete trash do not go here to eat crawfish u will be disappointing I had grass all in my food on my corn on my potatoes this is disgusting. A waste of money and time driving there some of them dnt even look cooked this is highway robbery.
We actually love the food here. It’s amazing. The reason for 2 stars is that they were at about 25% capacity and still couldn’t manage to take our drink order. The waitress was bussing tables with no wait and had ppl with no drinks and hadn’t taken their food. I’m not undermining what they do, I know they work hard. But this place is small and 2 competent waitresses should be sufficient especially at 25% capacity. A patron that sat next to us actually got up and got us waters since she was getting her own drink. Even after a patron got us drinks, it was about 10 minutes before she came by to take our food order. Pretty pathetic for a place that has such a great product.
I’m confused about all the 5 star reviews bc my experience was so much less than that. First I’ll start by saying that our servers were very nice but the crawfish was the worst part of my visit. I ordered the special which was (I believe)5lbs of crawfish 1/2 lb of shrimp and 1 corn and 2 potatos for $39.99 however, I am not sure that is what I received. There’s no way there were 5lbs of crawfish in my bowl. And the ones I did receive were cooked to hell and seasoned horribly. I was struggling to get them out of the shells without them just falling apart. Most of them were squishy and the heads weren’t juicy at all. A person at my party asked the waitress about spice level and she said it depends on who’s making it. At least she was honest but there’s no reason for everyone to receive something different just depending on who makes it. They let you byob which is nice. But overall I’m just really disappointed in the food. In todays world if I go somewhere and pay $40 for a meal I wanna enjoy it but this was super frustrating. I would appreciate a refund
Super delish crawfish at a great price! A lot of different levels of heat and flavor combos for crawfish which is nice. Watch for specials on their fb page. Service was outstanding and the other food coming out besides crawfish looked great also! We will be back to try more.
The crawfish and seafood was was to salty, did not enjoy whatsoever. It tasted as if an entire bottle of seasoning was dumped on our food before it came out. We waited quite a while for our food as well, traveling from an hour away to try it out, I was a little disappointed.Nevertheless the waiter apologized and I felt they knew and cared and was sincere about our disappointment. They comped some of the bill and we will return, just make sure you express to them. Not to salt the seafood to the point of not enjoying it. ?
Omg!!! The best!! Nice size crawfish, friendly staff, delicious food, pets are welcomed, atmosphere is cool. We will be taking this drive a few more times for sure. Oh &the fried fish was definitely a winner ?.
Great food and excellent service! We came here tonight and they were running a really good special so as you can imagine there was a wait. The wait was much shorter then we were told it would be, and our food came out fast, fresh, and hot. I didn’t get our waitress’s name, and I wish I would have because she did a great job serving us tonight. We will definitely be returning customers.
Texas Tailpipes was a small indication of just how good the Tipsy Texan Burger would be. Our Server Josh gets 10 stars for dealing with our Child and allowing the space parents need while getting situated. Always great having a young server understand the need to be fast with getting food in for the kids. Way to go Kickin Kanin in hiring great cooks and great wait staff. Adios until we return.
