This is the first time my husband or I had eaten at Main 101. The service and food were five star. My husband’s hamburger was perfect as were his onion rings. My three-course meal consisted of a delicious spinach and pecan salad, grilled shrimp with sautéed carrots and zucchini, and a slice of cheesecake with fresh hot coffee. We definitely will go again. Prices are a little high, but it is fresh and worth the extra price.
Wow! To me it looks like a hole-in-wall from the outside. Which we normally don't mind. However, from BEFORE we walked into the door we were being greeted by staff. The food was amazing, the service was spot-on, and the atmosphere was classy.I felt under dressed for how nice the dining room is designed. Nice surprise. I asked about how I was dressed and they quickly put my mind at ease.Would definitely go here again.
The food was very amazing here as well as the service. I had the pork belly dish and it just melted in my mouth. Every element of the the food we got seemed really fresh and cooked perfectly. If you get a chance try this gem hidden in the back corner of La Porte, the food is Americana style (a bit pricey) and worth every penny. I'm looking forward to trying their steak next time because I will be returning.
Service was slow, food was okay, my hamburger and my friends chicken sandwich was cold, but the kids food was hot.No kids menu unless you ask.The ambiance was nice loved the singer. Definitely a whole in the wall. The manager was nice, I would give them another try has potential may have just been short handed thus day.
Best quality food in La Porte! Great service at the bar and a nice drink poured. We had the seafood pasta and a salad with salmon. Everything was cooked to perfection. The place is owned by the chef, so there are no shortcuts.
Selected this location based on TripAdvisor reviews. Must agree with all the positive comments. Great little spot. Good open atmosphere. Well stocked bar. Friendly wait staff. Food was great. They made some adjustments on menu to allow for low carb desires. Highly recommend this spot if your in the area. And if your here do not miss a side day trip to the San Jacinto Battlefield
First off, the prices are sky high for the quality of food. My girlfriend had a chicken caesar salad. The chicken was a small, flat, frozen piece of chicken you buy in the bags at H‑E‑B. The dressing was like no other caesar we’ve ever tasted. I got a chicken and sausage pasta. Honestly, one of the worst pasta dishes I’ve ever eaten. More frozen chicken as well. The molten chocolate cake was literally mush. I don’t recommend it. The service was really slow. 2 1/2 hours to get out of there. This may be La Portes finest, but I think it’s not worth it. Overpriced, frozen foods and slow service.
Food was pretty good. Crab cakes were my favorite server was very nice and helpful.
This place has the best food in the area. I just discover this place and my experience was awesome. The service crew are very professional and friendly. I just got the fast service.
