First I would like to say is El Toro in La Porte is one of my favorite restaurant. I have been working in Virginia for two months and was really wanting the steak enchiladas. My daughter, wife and grandson arrived at 6:30 on Wednesday the 29th. First our booth by the window was sticky and dirty. After 15 minutes of waiting and no one except the bus boy with chip and dip came to us. My daughter got up and asked host if we had a waiter he said we was at Marisa table. Another couple came in about 10 minutes after us was already getting their drinks. Marisa finally came over and took our drink order then came back ten minutes later and ask us again what drinks did we order. We were at El Toro right at an hour. The couple that came in after us already had their food. At this time we had been out of chips and dip out of tea we never got our margaritas let alone our food . I finally had had enough and we left all I had was two dollars cash so I put it on the table and left because I wasn’t going to wait any longer now if I owe any more than two dollars for three teas you just let me know and I’ll come in and pay but it will be a long time before I’ll take my family to the El Toro in La Porte
I always like going into El Toro because they know us already, and the new hires seem to have been trying to keep up, and taking our orders somewhat on time, I mean it was the after church crowd, so naturally it's busy, but the food is good for being Tex-Mex, and naturally prices have gone up do due the current pandemic, and gas crisis, but that's to be expected, and it's very local, so I don't need to go far to get my fix for green sauce, lol!
Bad food only personal staff was the Manager.
El Toro is so awesome whether I am dining in or ordering through Uber Eats. Their chicken tortilla soup is the best and I love their avocado salsa.
This place serves great Mexican food I really enjoyed the southwest salad my party included 7 people we all would recommend visiting this place for a meal
What can I say, it was excellent!!! The Foo was really good, I had pozole, which tasted great. The ambiance and decor made me feel like I was in a little town restaurant back in Mexico and the service was over the top.i can't stress enough how great the service was, from the hostess to my server everyone was courteous and nice. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for good food and awesome service!!!
We have been eating at El Toro on a weekly/monthly basis for over 20 years and it’s always consistently delicious! The staff at the La Porte location are especially great! They are always friendly, helpful, and make us feel at home. I highly recommend a frozen Red Toro Rita which is one of my all-time favorite margaritas.
Will never eat or recommend this restaurant. Treated badly, egg rolls look like they were bought at krogers extremely small 3 rolls cut on half and charged $10.99. No taste. Had to look for waitress when we needed a refill. With the best Mexican resturant in La Porte (El Ranchero)down the street I don't know why anyone would eat here.Authenic Mexican food.
El Toro is one of the best Mexican restaurant in La Porte to. The food is great!! My favorite is the fajita enchiladas!Best fajitas!! Great customer service!!My only complaint is that it gets really cold in the restaurant!! Lol but for some customers it’s here in Texas it’s just right!!
Always good!! Never disappointed when eating at El Toro. Have been dining at the Baytown and La Porte locations for over 25 years.
