I am really not sure what people see in this place other than its convenient if you live close. We usually go for the breakfast tacos and their drive through is usually very fast if you whip around the building to place your order. The only good thing next to the tortillas being homemade is the convenience factor.First of all, please stop using "American Cheese" in your tacos and passing it off as "Authentic". It is NOT "Authentic". I get it that it is a cost factor. I would strongly advise you to go back to using cheddar in your migas tacos. Secondly, I would strongly suggest you add a splash of milk to your eggs. It makes them fluffier and does not dry them out. There is noting more frustrating than eating one of your tacos and having to drown it in your salsa because the eggs are so dry you almost choke on it.I have also come during the lunch. They also use American cheese on their enchiladas. Their beans are bland the the rice is not much better. Again, I would like a little bit of flavor in my food and not have to "spice it up" by drowning it in your salsa. The service is always amazing. That is another good thing they have going for them if you eat in.If I hear my family is stopping at this place, I usually tell them not to get me anything from there because the breakfast tacos are so bad. You would think for being open so long and being a "mom and pop" place their food would be better. You are almost better off getting breakfast tacos from a "chain" Mexican joint here in Kyle. There is not "Spicy" about a bite I take from this place. Perhaps they should rename it, "Darn it I should have gone somewhere else, but I will settle for meh" Bite.
Great food, quick courteous service. Definitely going back. Side note a taco is not a taco without a homemade tortilla. Which they deliver on. Just tried the carne asada fries. I have been wanting to try them. They were very good, and the burger as well the bun for the burger is very good and onion rings.
I don't leave many reviews but this one Iswarranted. Went for Mother's Day meal with mywife and stepdaughter. Our meal was good andour waitress was very good. However, at theend of the meal we asked another waitress whocame by for to go boxes and I asked for a to gotea. This other waitress LIED and told me theydid not have to go cups. I've been in here twicein the last 10 days and had no problem getting ato go cup. From where I sat I could see plenty ofto go cups behind the counter.I then asked another waitress as well as ourwaitress for a to go tea which they were going toget and the waitress that lied to me stoppedboth of them from getting my tea. At this point Ispoke to the manager and told her I was lied to;she responded by "I'm sure she didn't mean to"It was very blatant that she did flat out lie andthe manager was trying to defend her and coverher lie. I told the manager I purchased my teaand just like a to go food box I want my tea togo. I also told her my previous visits in the last10 days I had no issues getting a to go cup. Themanager was not apologetic and said because ofCovid they were short on to go containers ingeneral. This wasn't the case the last 10 daysapparently and just happened? The main pointand principle of all of this was one of thewaitresses lied to me!Seemed liked it was more important to defend alying waitress than to make sure customersatisfaction was achieved. Have to really thinkhard about going back after this experience.Unfortunate too because was really beginning to like this place.
Great service and tasty food! Love the homemade flour tortillas. They just have that taste and feel of homemade. Really good. I had the Plum Plate and the portions were generous. Had to take half of it home. Sopapillas were light and puffy. Got it to go and they forgot the honey. I had some at home though! Delicious food.
Great place, always good food at good prices. Can't miss choice!
Favorite spot for breakfast tacos! The tacos are big and so good- carne asada is fantastic and they often run a special deal on weekdays for 2 breakfast tacos at a discount. The staff are so friendly and the place is clean and laid back.
A friend referred this place to us so we tried it for lunch. The chicken tortilla soup was good. A small bowl here is a large anywhere else. It was chock full of chicken, rice, cheese, guacamole, onions, tomatos and green chili. Served with flour or corn tortillas. It was good, but didn't have a "wow" punch. The beef enchilada was ok, but again no flavorful "pop." The soppapillas were tasty, but really hard to eat without a small plate or napkins, neither furnished by the server. They have a drive-thru window for those on the go. Parking can be tight.
Its been twice that they serve me not fresh tortillas. The first time I reported it, the waitress said they are fresh. But it was hard and cracking! Now again?! Not liking this place..
We love the breakfast tacos and they are fast!
I love their hot sauce and order breakfast tacos nearly every week at their drive thru.
