My friend lives and in kingwood and we both love marble slab. Well, he tried the one in kingwood one day (this was without me) then told me later he didn't want to go back because it seemed stale. So today we visited this location as we were in the area and decided to give them a chance together and were not impressed. So I walk in and I notice and there is a musty smell but I love marble slab and it's nearby so I'm giving benefit of the doubt but then I see the signs saying "due to covid no samples". The past two weeks I've been to other ice cream shops (Handel's and Baskin Robbins who certainly gave samples without an excuse). I get being cheap and saving money but I didn't want to buy potentially funky ice cream and if it was fine you would had repeat customers as we are ice cream fans.furthermore the customer service was non existent as we were not greeted or acknowledged at all.
Lost my business. Today was the last straw. We’ve visited other Marble Slabs and never been charged inconsistently and overcharged. Each time the price has increased. My husband and I buy quarts every time. Originally we paid around $30 for two, today we added a pint and we paid $50. There was a mistake and the manager is compensating, however every location we’ve visited is free mix in’s, I haven’t been charged for mix in’s for several years. When I questioned the pricing today once we got home and realized our $50 worth of ice cream was not full containers, we were told the larger sizes get charged for mix in’s…so basically a quart of ice cream with mix in’s is $23. My mind was blown. Of course when I inquire about this, the reason used was inflation…yet I’m still seeing blue bell and other brands around the same price in the stores. As I don’t mind paying more for better quality, I definitely don’t appreciate being taken advantage of, rest assured we are all dealing with inflation. I would love to support local businesses but not at the expense of being ripped off.
Taking my brother in laws tips and splitting it with people that AINT EVEN WORKING!!! taking young kids tips to split with people that are not working that shift OR EVEN THAT DAY!!Can't even recommend a place doing this to young kids trying to work in this economy.Sorry owners!!
Ordered a banana split, paid (cash) for it. Because the kid at the front counter didn't know how to make it he had called another kid from the back, afterwards realized they didn't have any bananas to make the banana split. They Didnt know how to do a refund and called i am assuming the manager who was telling them I needed to refund it to a card and it couldn't be done that night.. again paid cash not by card. It was a whole big thing. I don't the workers I blame the management. Don't leave two kids there that have little to no clue what to do. They, the kids did apologize.
Called last Saturday and asked about ordering an ice cream cake for the following week. The person on the phone stated I could order over phone or come in then next day ( Sunday) to speak with the person who makes the cakes. I asked what time they would be there they said to come anytime between 1-9. I arrived at at 1:30 on Sunday, the employee present said the owner or cake maker was not there but he would try to call them. No answer. I filled out the form and was told the owner or cake maker would call me to confirm and get payment. I waited all day Monday…..mind you this is for pick up Wednesday, and heard from no one. I called at 5:45PM Monday night, a kid answered the phone said he was a new employee and the cake wouldn’t be ready it took 48 hrs. I said I ordered it Sunday and it was a wed pick up , that it was way more then 48 hrs, he said ok then it will be ready.I said I have heard from no one, I’m trying to pay for this cake and make sure it’s ordered or do I need to take my business elsewhere, he said I don’t know and hung up on me.I don’t even know who is to blame here, an owner who is out of touch or def does not train their employees, the cake maker who def doesn’t call people back, this establishment doesn’t seem like it will stay in business long with service like this.
Haven't been to an ice cream place in a while. Ice cream and service is just fine here, but $19 for one small and one regular ice cream? That's insane. You can get two full meals for that price.
The man working the counter was serving people and as we pulled up he asked them to lock the door before we got out. We arrived 15 minutes before closing (9:00 pm). Can’t complain about the service cause we didn’t get any.
Erik Contreras was the best employee that has ever served me!! So exciting to see my favorite ice cream shop in such good condition. Also, the employee named Joey was rude and refused to serve me because I am a black midget. So furious about him
Only one worker meaning it takes a lot of time also I didn’t like anything of how I turned out! Didn’t like the place but she seemed like she’s trynna do her best they just need more workers and the brownies tested like they were old
Awesome. Prices are alittle high. But awesome.
