The food and service at the Kingwood location is excellent. If you haven't been to Hippo Burgers, you definitely need to eat there. The fries and onion rings are fabulous. They even serve Blue Bell ice cream, and shakes.
First time at this location. First off, the burgers are HUGE! I ordered a kid's meal (fries included, drinks are extra) and it was more like a regular size burger. We all really liked ours (chili burger, bacon cheeseburger with avocado added for extra). Fries/tots/onion rings/etc are extra on the HUGE burgers. Fries were hot and crispy. Shake was creamy, chocolatey and topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. They have Pepsi fountain drinks and bottled Mexican Coke, Jarritos and more. My daughter says she wants to come back every day so I guess that means we'll be back! ?
One of the best Burgers I have eaten in a long time. The beef patty was very thick and hot through the last bite. We had the Hawaiian Burger, which had pieces of pineapple all over.They have many different burgers to choose from and many more items to choose from. If you love burgers you will love this place.We had the Sweet Potatoe Fries and we didn't have to add salt or pepper. They were seasoned perfectly and delicious.
The person with blue hair at the registers seemed annoyed that we were trying to order with them. I should have just listened to my gut and ordered a burger, but I tried what they advertised in the front window. Cheese sticks, fried pickles and wings. The wings were cold in the middle, the cheese sticks weren’t melted all the way. I asked the guy to re-fry them and they still came out in one clump when I bit them. There were only about 15 pickles in a basket that I paid $6 for. I’m so disappointed. I couldn’t finish anything. Horrible experience.

I told the guy that it was take out and he left and returned with the burger in a paper sack and nothing else inside; no napkin, no condiment, etc. The cashier gave me a look to show that it was not her fault. I gave the cashier cash and exact coins to expect a large bill back. She kept playing with the cash in the register and seemed does not know how to count money. The burger was large and grease but tasted ok. I have had much better burgers around this location and the prices more reasonable. This place is tight on food too, with minimum ingredients to put on the burger; not enough chopped letter to spread around the bun. No tomatoes as standard at other burger places. This is no combo meal and everything is à la cart. If one orders a combo meal, the price will be 150% of other places that offer combos.I have given this place a only try.

Surprise!Tasty burger. Old fashion 2 handed type.KNOWLEDGABLE staff. Helpful and service oriented (novel post pandemic)Food especially tater tots cooked to perfection.Have been twice so great. Even ordered to go the burger travelled well.Location and parking lot not the best. But hey, worth a small inconvenience when food this good.
The burgers were fantastic!! They only got 4 stars because they made us wait at least 15 minutes after our arrival time. I had the mushroom burger, and it was delicious! They put a lot of mushrooms, unlike most places. The sweet potato fries were excellent, also!
Burger good. A bit too much salt on fries n patties. Will still return though Great service by young gentleman Julian. He made a difference. Knowledgeable and caring. Great choice of hiring him. See you soon!
Went to eat here for the first time with friends and got the siracha burger with Cajun fries. I highly recommend going here. Staff was very nice and patient for coming here for the first time. Will be coming back for sure!
