It's nice to see that another local favorite hasn't changed too much after all these years. It has easily been over 5+ years since we've visited El Rancho, but everything still tastes the same; which is good thing! We have family members that go here because they swear that El Ranchero has the best Fajitas Poblano anywhere. We like the cheese enchiladas,chicken dishes, and their fajita meat is in our top 10 for local Mexican restaurants. Friday nights here used to be slammed, and there would be a wait to be seated, but on our last Friday night visit (June 2022) their were plenty of places available to sit. The restaurant wasn't dead by any means but it was nowhere near max capacity like back in the day. The food tasted great and the portion size is still just right. Most of the staff was helpful and friendly, but tend to vanish at the moments you need them most; for refills, to get to-go boxes, the check, etc. We will try not to wait so long before coming back here again.
Had reserved for a large group of around 25 to 30 people. Had only one waiter assigned to wait on us. Decided to go to the front desk and ask for more help, at least another waiter or waitress to assist in taking orders, etc. Most did not like the food. Fajitas, taco meat, enchiladas all lacked flavor. Not enough seasoning. Front desk hostess was not very friendly and in a way seemed bothered that we requested more help due to long amount of time in just getting our drinks (mostly soft drinks). Even didn't get some food orders right. Had been here before, thought we would give itanother try, but food was still not good. Too bland and no flavor.
This place has been a steady and awesome spot for TexMex for many years. I love stopping in once in a while for the home-y vibes and great food. Service is always attentive and everything tastes fresh.You cannot go wrong with an order here, but I highly recommend the Cancun Special if ya want to try a bit of everything!
For years I have enjoyed this place, but lately it’s gone totally downhill! Prices are higher, they don’t honor our coupons like they used to, always new employees that are not personable! The food quality is even poor now and the service, just forget about it! I won’t be back! It’s always over crowded and short staffed as well! Too many other Mexican Restaurants in the area to have to deal with this place! BYE!!!! Again, WON’T BE BACK!!!
Been going here since I was a kid, quality food and service, always amazingly kind people and fast cooks. Can't say enough good stuff, and the happy hours are great!
We come here every week for family dinner. The food is excellent, and they make us feel like family. Love this place!!
Good Mexican food! Could be better, compared to others in the area.Convenient and mostly quick service.Did not see any activity as written in other reviews where if you are anglo you are not serviced as well. I was treated nice and saw other gringos being served aok.
My fajitas were delicious!!! My wife had chicken enchiladas and said they were a little in the bland side so ... If you like fajitas then give this place a go!
We’ve been eating dinner here for years and tried breakfast on Saturday. It was delicious! Huevos Mexicana was cooked perfectly.
Service was very prompt and the food was delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. My sister and I shared the parrillada for 2 and we had leftovers. Highly recommend that place.
