We heard good things about Cilantro's Mexican Grill in Kingwood from a few associates at work. The food was fine but no single entree really stood out flavor-wise. The charro beans and salsa were probably the best tasting items. The Made to Order Guacamole was alright and had an interesting flavor to it. The queso was good but no real kick to it. The Fajitas Monterrey (beef) only had a few mushrooms (about three microscopic ones) and the flavor of the meat was barely there. There were a couple of slices that seemed to have been prepared correctly and we're full of flavor but the majority of the portion was not. The shrimp tacos were also reported as not having much flavor. The service is what really killed the experience for us. We had our drinks brought to us right away and didn't have to wait long for both appetizers. After that, however, we didn't get a visit from our waiter (1 out of the 3 there) for 30 minutes. When we first arrived, there was only one other family eating there. Four more families came in by the time our order was taken. We attempted to flag someone for help multiple times but even after making eye contact, the waitstaff would continue on like never seeing us. At first, we felt like it was just us but then we could here the table next to us complaining about the same thing and making a comment like this was the normal thing to expect at Cilantro's. The tortillas for our fajitas didn't arrive until 15 minutes after the food arrived. We won't be coming back here anytime in the near future.

We have lived here a yr and by far, this is the best flavor of Mexican food we've ate. We try other places and ALWAYS come back here. Staff is so nice. The tea lady is ON IT!!!

The shrimp were good in my fajitas and margarita was good, what we didn't like was the beef in my fajitas and my wife burrito did not taste fresh. For the price we expect better.

Amazing food great service! I only eat veggies so they customized the fajita platter to add more veggies for me! I’ll be back! Beer is cold and salsa is good what more can you want .

Food was good, but service was very poor. We waited too long to have our order taken. The server or hostess ignored us and didn't come to see if we wanted anything else. They saw us looking around and finally asked if everything was alright. I wanted to order a drink , but changed my mind after waiting too long to be asked. This was Saturday, April 23 about 6:15.

Delicious and quick. Great for our lunch breaks. Staff is friendly and inviting. Food is always full of flavor and authentic.

That's the worst place food is bad services is bad or maybe it' was just me .burn rice .A dog wouldn't want what they gave me ....They act as if i didn't have any money . Like i was well fair case. I felt so uncomfortable ..I will never will go there again

Although the wait staff was kind and attentive, the food was very bland. The fajitas were flavorless. The rice and beans weren’t much better. The flour tortillas were awful and the queso dip tasted like it was bought at Sam’s Club. You are better off spending your money elsewhere.

Very good food and ambiance! Enjoyed all of my food it was delicious ?server and manager where very nice as well

I’m 98% sure the queso came from a can. The rest of of our food was ok. Service was good. With all the other options in kingwood - I wouldn’t suggest this one.
