For a "fusion" restaurant, the menu boasts mainly traditional Japanese and Chinese dishes. That is not a complaint, because the food tasted fairly authentic. The pieces of fish are really the main focus, because the chef was not heavy-handed in his presentation.
I love this place the only thing that bothered me it was extremely warm inside the restaurant. I just moved here from Dallas Texas and my fiancé took me and I thought it was only sushi but they had Chinese as well. I had the orange chicken it was tasty extremely crispy and large portion. He had the beef and broccoli. The crispy vegetable rolls/fried roles were excellent. Such a pleasant surprise it’s in the strip center and I was not expecting it to be very good I would definitely go back and recommend it for visitors and residents of KINGWOOD.!
A hidden gem!Most of the food served here is better than many spots downtown and served at a better price.There are certain variations of sushi that are not listed on google maps, one of which is the shaggy dog. The sushi here is easily my favorite, along with their amazing vegetable eggrolls!I have ordered food from this spot many times and I have always had speedy service, professional staff, and amazing food.
The food is always fresh, even take out! We’ve twice this week alone. We were little ginger, in town center, top costumers but found out selves getting bored of their menu. This place has been consistent
This place is absolutely fire. They have so many options and variety that I though for sure they couldn't be all good. The sushi we had was on point, perfect French Fries for the kids, and the traditional entrees were outstanding. The prices are good, and the staff beyond nice.
Our family was hungry after an event at KHS. We found several restaurants to be too busy but settled on Akashi because because we were able to be seated immediately. Some of the family ordered sushi and the rest of us ordered Orange Chicken and the Happy Family entre. Almost one hour later we got our food. Apparently the sushi was good but everything else was just odd tasting. The orange chicken and even the rice had a stale sort of flavor. So to sum up - the service was lacking and slow and the food except for the sushi was off. If I return it will be sushi for me.
Great place, good food. Tempura was nice, warm and fresh. Rolls were delicious.
Went and had date night dinner with my awesome husband and was SUPER impressed! Shout out to our excellent waiter Mylan! He was on top of all our needs, 10/10 would recommend asking for him Everytime!
