If you're in the Killeen area you have to stop by Shelby's Food Truck. Her food is super delicious and always fresh. Ashley is friendly, provides excellent customer service and loves all her customers. My favorite thing on the menu is her amazing Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls it's to die for but her Mac & Cheese and fried chicken is by far the best in Killeen. Oh and don't forget her Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade so good it's better than Kool-aid.
Mac & cheese was literally boiled noodles & a little bit of cold cheese, no seasonings whatsoever, & definitely not baked. Sweet potatoes had an overpowering nutmeg taste to it. The fried wings weren’t crispy at all & I specifically asked for extra crispy wings. The greens were clearly just thrown into a pot & boiled with no seasonings. Shelby & her crew were all warm & welcoming but I will not be back. The prices are outrageous for the quality of food.
Shelby's anointed hands have blessed my esophagus with the most heavenly bites of deliciousness. The food and service was Outstanding??. The vibe was very much giving genuine and soulful. I indulged the fried catfish, mac&cheese, sweet potato fries and banana pudding and it was every bit of what I craved for, ever since I arrived here August 2021. This was my 1st visit and surely won't be my last. Thank you for contributing and distributing your gifts to the community.
Yo I gotta I gotta say I was kinda of ehh to try it at first but man am I glad I did in the south is hard to find anybody to make Philly cheesesteaks the way they're supposed to be made definitely be coming back and trying everything on the menu but as far as Philly cheese steak goes five out of five customer service amazing great attitude so much energy definitely going to be a repeating customer form me keep grinding...Shelby
First let me say “ We travel a lot and every location we look for Soul Food locations. Not every location have them but when we do find one it’s excitement from there. First I was a little disappointed that it was a Food Truck. Now don’t get me wrong I love a good ole food truck. So we pulled up and left and went to another Soul Food restaurant on our list but unfortunately they were closed :(. We decided to try Shelby’s. :) I assumed that the lady in the chef coat was Shelby? Anyway Her approach was very pleasant which made me more excited about the SOUL Food & egg roll. Well, I’ve had better, it was just okay. When I seen the prices I was like “this is about to be good” But not really. :’( I thought the prices were over priced and the taste was just okay! OAN: I do understand product prices have gone up a lot and I get it!I’m not saying I’m a food critic but from eating at so many Soul Food places I know good Soul Food when I tasted it. Yes, I know everyone has different tastebuds and I get all of that but for me it was just okay.Would I go back to Shelby’s again probably not.This is my review but please try it for yourself We all have different opinions.I pray that God continues to bless this business and all that are involved in this business.
Shelbys food for the soul is the original soul food of killeen , the wings,burger and Philly are my personal favorite I loved the fresh baked Mac with cabbage she also has desserts I like getting the cobbler because she actually sells person pans ,it's my go to for lunch everyday made fresh to impress if your ever stopping in Killeen you should stop here most definitely.

The customer service was impeccable. She certainly aims to please and values her customers. The food was absolutely amazing. I must say those Carne asada fries made me wanna take a nap afterwards. I also tried the chicken wings with green and a side of mac & cheese; simply devine! I love love love the homemade strawberry lemonade & the banana pudding. The only thing I wish that I had more of was some extra vanilla wafers because hers are smaller than the usual. Other than that, everything was A-1!
Came to this location because I get tired of the same ole same ole ... Glad I did I noticed she sold street tacos (which is my absolute favorite) I'm very picky about my food shelby satisfied every taste bud I had lol. Her personally was great as the food . I'll be back to try the soul food ❤
Went for the first time today. It won’t be the last time. I had the catfish and it was delicious.
