This is my 4th time ordering from here in less then a week. Too me nothing beats my NYC Asian take out places but this restaurant has the best Asian food in Central Texas hands down. Usually Asian food in Central Texas is too greasy, too salty or under seasoned but all the dishes I have tried so far has been perfect. They have my business faithfully while I live in Central Texas. I highly recommend trying if you ever in the mood for Asian food.
I usually have positi e things to share, but on this visit, my food was not up to par. I ordered the pepper steak. The meat was very chewy and some pieces I discarded. This time I was disappointed. But my granddaughter did enjoy her sweet and sour chicken.
I gave them three stars because the friendliness of the person on the phone. I don’t know if it’s a new manager but it tastes different. The bulgogi was good but the chicken wing was old. I ordered right as soon as they opened but that chicken wing was old and hard like it was made yesterday and they reheated it. As well as the rice. My rice was old it wasn’t freshly made and I ordered 10 minutes after they opened.
Great Wall used to be a good spot however last night my family and I ordered several dishes and all of them were disgusting. We won’t be returning.
I absolutely love going to Great Wall for any time of day. Lunch portions are filling. Dinner with my daughters goes fast. I have never been disappointed here. I call and the ladies know my order and if we decide to deviate they ask about adding things from our regular order.
I’m not sure why this place is open, the food is mediocre to say the least. I ordered the shrimp fried rice, but it wasn’t really fried rice, just some old rice mixed with shrimp, a little egg, a few green onions and a splash of soy sauce. When I got home recooked it, as a home chef I look for good quality food. Needless to say I will not be ordering from this place again, not worthy of my hard earned money. This place still be closed down.
Definitely won't be returning to this place. We have been coming to this place for years, but recently it has been going down hill. Tonight we had the worst Chinese food we've ever had. Orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken were over breaded with barely any meat, hardly any vegetables added to our Mongolian beef, and sweet and sour shrimp had small shrimp which was cut in half for each bite. Extremely cheap and disappointing. I never like to throw away food, but my whole family chose not to eat it.
Really hate leaving a review like this at a place I used to love going to! The past few visits I’ve had to hold in and say anything negative, until we got dinner for the last time tonight. This has to be the worst quality food I’ve ever tasted. Along with putting the wrong sauce in my order then I drive back 20mins away, then to tell me my sauce isn’t ready then make me wait longer. As you see the shrimp are the size you can get away with using for fried rice, but you served this to my a family with little pieces of shrimp. Last time you’ll be seeing us here.To a long lost loyal customer
We ordered via DoorDash for lunch. My mistake was ordering Korean food from a Chinese restaurant, huge mistake. My yakimondu was spoiled; like it had expired, yet they still cooked it. It smelled spoiled.. it tasted spoiled. And they over fried it. It was so burnt. My white rice was scorched, I could taste the burn in it. Lastly my bulgogi was under seasoned and it just had a lot of crushed red peppers. Completely void of every other seasoning. Worst food experience to date. Stop serving Korean food, you’re not good at it. Completely disgusting food.
We ordered off doordash. The food got here steaming hot ? and it was delicious. We got the sweet and sour chicken, the orange chicken, cheese wantons and fried dumplings we were stuffed and had leftovers for the next day. It's so much food, really tasty food. Try it out y'all!
