Read the reviews and had to try this place. At first I was was a little concerned because it was inside a StarMart convince store but don't let this fool you. I ordered the small catfish plate and let me tell you it was the best fried catfish I have had in a very long time. I am a tartar sauce kind of guy and they were out of tartar sauce. The fish was seasoned to perfection and needed NO sauce. The salad was fresh greens and excellent. I will definitely be going back.
I’ve eaten here a couple times and I’ve never been disappointed. Every chance I get I will definitely be back. And the food is definitely worth every penny spent! You get what you pay for. Looking forward to my next visit.
My husband and I went here to order take out and the food was immaculate and amazing! We both ordered the Large Catfish Plate and they were delicious. The catfish was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the skin had a great texture. The collard greens with ham hock and the cheesy crab fried potatoes were equally amazing and tasted great. My husband has tried many places claiming they made soul food or good catfish but had always been disappointed. BUT, after the long search, this is one of the places that actually means it when it comes down to soul food and great catfish. I definitely recommend people to order food here!*Don't forget to order ranch and tartar sauce because both taste great* ?

They put gumbo on my shrimp and grits. The shrimp and grits is not suppose to have sausage in it it never looks like this. Clearly can see from all the other shrimp and grit pictures. They were so unprofessional in the front my husband walked in and the girl said “we are closed, just kidding.” So I know for facts they were rushing on my food putting gumbo on my grits I spent $73 on this food.
Honestly, this place is so amazing. And You are gonna wait for your food. Dont complain. They make it fresh there! I cant wait to go back! Be nice and be patient and get some gravy on the side and put it on everything!
Father and Son food has always been consistent and delicious. I’ve been frequenting there for the past few years and every experience has been awesome. Great food, great service. Highly recommended. The only issue I’ve ever had is with the 3rd party delivery services. I ordered from there last night and never received my food. I’m not sure what to do about either getting a refund or my food. I get the same thing everytime so I was not expecting any hurdles. DoorDash insists that the food was delivered, it wasn’t, I provided them with a receipt and order number and they still say it was delivered. I’m not trippin at all, I would just recommend ordering in person. Never had a bad experience with that. Blessings and continued success.?
Sadly I hate to be writing this review but after our experience I can’t help but not. My husband and I went in a few days ago and tried out a pound of their crawfish. It was so good!! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. We went back in today and got 5lbs and it was not the same. The crawfish were completely mushy. They had been dead for a while, the tails weren’t curled. My family boiled over 1,000 lbs last year and we have already done 200 lbs this year. We are no stranger to how crawfish is cooked or what happens when they are bad. We called the restaurant explaining what happened and they stated they could re-make it which we declined because the crawfish was obviously bad. They said they do not do refunds but we could come in and get something else of the same cost. When we went in a older lady whom was the manager immediately had a major attitude with us and was clearly frustrated. Understandable, but we did not entice this nor is it deserving of a customer. As we we were looking at the menu she said that she would just refund our money which we were thankful for. She then asked if it was our first time which we explained that it was not. She then continued to have an attitude and be passive aggressive. To which I brought it to her attention that I did not appreciate how she was speaking to us. Never have I ever been spoken to like that. Before this encounter we were willing to try them again another time, that is no longer the case.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The food always come out hot and fresh and is always delicious. Highly recommend the crawfish it’s very flavorful most definitely the best crawfish I’ve had in town
Food was no where near as good as it should have been for the wait. I won’t be going here again and the cost is too high. If you want quality seafood go to razoos. And pay the same price or even cheaper.
