Awesome food … great customer service
I ordered the catfish with fries and coleslaw. Because of the cornmeal batter, that actually tasted like the hush puppy, it was awful. Fish fried and French fries fried with the same cornmeal batter.Absolutely no taste except for the oil, which smelled n tasted like hush puppy batter. I should of gone to john Silvers instead.
Loved the food, atmosphere and service. This place is a hidden gem in the outskirts of Killeen!
Like to give a big thanks to Big Hoss BBQ for supporting the troops out at North Fort Hood (NFH) today! Word spread like wild fire when they heard there's pulled pork and chicken BBQ at the NFH USO out in Gatesville. Heard nothing but good comments on the food and was really appreciated by everyone. Our first time to go to Big Hoss BBQ we really liked its location. When we went in the atmosphere was fantastic we were greeted right away. The employees were excellent one of the employees Justin welcomed us and answered all our questions he was very good at his job and had great customer service. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. And the most important the food was excellent we had the bbq it was great. I would recommend BIG Hoss bbq to everyone. It was our first time there but it will not be our last they are the best in KILLEEN.
Outstanding service and food. We eat there often for a reason. The staff is friendly and customer service oriented. Outstanding dining experience for my son's birthday dinner. I also use a service dog and the staff was obviously knowledgeable about how to extend their customer service to us in this area. Fantastic food. Couldn't ask for a better experience. We'll be back often. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Catfish takeout on a Friday night. Big Hoss dine in or take out is a great hometown place for BBQ and more.
I go there on Sundays since that's the only day they serve German schnitzel and it was delicious. Been there several times. But the last time before today was 3 1/2 years ago. Atmosphere is still great, staff is terrific and food is excellent.
Coolest environment! Food was soo delicious! 5 people in our party and everyone loved their food. Went on Sunday Schnitzel Day!!! It was so tender! Definitely going back!!
Service was prompt, sweet, cheerful. Sides were delicious and fresh. The meat portions were ample and tender, but we could taste NO smoked flavor, just bbq sauce on well-cooked meat. That is not what I call bbq! We had brisket, baby-backs, and pulled pork. The pulled pork had a delicious, sweet sauce on it, but the sauce on the table was more like a Tx. bbq sauce, except w a STRONG bottled smoke flavor, which does not imbue the meat w a true smoked flavor, it just tasted like fake smoke. Lots of food for the price, but not bbq, IMHO.
