True Texas BBQ catered my daughter’s rehearsal dinner. The catering manager Linda Lewis did a phenomenal job helping me from the initial planning to actually catering the food. The brisket and chicken tasted like they’d just come off the pit and the sides were delicious. If I could give 10 stars I would.
This bbq is SO good! I have been multiple times and love it! The pulled pork sandwich is amazing, all the sides are fresh and delicious! The sauce they put on the meat and allow you to take extra with you is so yummy !!
Always great brisket, decent sides and desserts and cold drinks. What's up with the cheesy takeout containers, though? If I pay $60 for a meal, you guys ought to at least spring for something as sturdy as a Chinese noodle box.
Don’t go early! They use reheats or the leftover meats from day before they cut into the fresh stuff. Unfortunately, I found this out the hard way and mine dried out and not quite warm.Was told “Thanks for letting us know.”SMHPossibly the freshest most perfect green beans I’ve ever had and the “Dirty Fries” sauced with Nashville Hot were also fantastic. So close to the best $13.00 lunch I’ve ever had.

This time it’s over to the @heb on Main Street for a little bit of brisket.He had the meat plate, which came with two sides. I had the limited edition “True Texas Cheesesteak.”His was delicious but uneventful in terms of eating logistics. With fingers of both hands spread wide, I tried to pick up mine, which was about 4 inches in thickness. Some of the food fell on my plate and about 10% was hung up on my whiskers.Only downside is that the tapwater on the fountain machine was broken so I had to buy an Aquafina for a buck. But: small obstacle.GO! ?
The food looked good but I was disappointed in the amount of meat I got for the price. The salad was fresh, but the coslaw was tasteless and the meat was terrible. Dry and chewy on one side. I was scared to swallow it in fear it would scrape my throat on the way down. The other side was so greasy i was ill for several hours after consuming just a small portion. I tried my best to eat some of it because I didn't want to waste the money I just spent on it but even then...I could only stomach a small portion of the miniscule bit they gave me.. I feel like they replaced the deli hot food line with this place. I preferred the deli. They had more of a variety. In short...this is not "true" Texas BBQ. I will stick with a local "mom &pop" place for my BBQ. Buzzies or bills bbq on junction.
Long wait time so I was expecting great BBQ....whatever seasoning they're using is too spicy for me. All you taste is heat and you don't get the enjoyment of the actual meat. Sadly disappointing.
Yuck. Overcooked everything. Mushy Mac n cheese. Canned corn. And the brisket loaded with a peppery sauce that covers the flavor of the beef. This is a “family” meal of chop. For a family of mice maybe! Pint size containers of everything. We were extremely underwhelmed. Not worth it.
I tried this out yesterday. Ordered the potato with chopped beef. It was a regular sized potato. For what I paid, I figured it would be bigger like the ones they sell down the road and it looked nothing like the picture (obviously I was expecting it to look exactly like the picture, but something similar to it would have been nice). The potato was not cooked all the way and the meat was overcooked. The meat did have food flavor though. It was a bit spicy, which is fine with me but definitely a surprise. I also ordered the mac and cheese with pulled porked. It had good flavor but portion size was again small for the price. I did try the strawberry cobbler which I really enjoyed. Would I go back again? Probably not due to price versus portion size. I would probably stop by and try out the peach cobbler though. I had no issues with the time of delivery of the food. I arrived and entered the code of the parking spot and within 5 minutes I had my food.
I ordered chopped Brisket baked potato. What I got was pulled park and baked potato..Update: They made it right by giving me a new potato made the right way..
