We chose kerrville as the town to stop for lunch. A quick google search led us to the Lakehouse, which almost immediately caught my eye. My wife and I split the Catfish, shrimp and shrimp. Each entree came with three sides, we got the French fries, mashed potatoes and pinto beans. For the drinks, I got a bottle of Shiner, and my wife got sweet tea. The water and sweet tea were not good, probably bad RO. The food itself was certainly authentic but quite bland. A little bit of Tabasco added some flavor though. Overall I was satisfied, the restaurant itself was wonderful, great staff, and great scenery.

Been here lots of times. Generally catfish is good. Service is good waitstaff doesnt bother you but keeps up with you. Was here 2 days in a row, 1st day fish tacos and gumbo. Great meal. Second day catfish and gumbo. Gumbo cold catfish kind of mushy. Like I said it's generally good food.
I had the chicken fried chicken, hushpuppies and fried okra. The food was good. Ask for a table by the window to get the lake view.
My husband and I ran across this gem on a trip into town from our RV park nearby. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the shrimp and fish. Tons of food with three sides for each basket! Would definitely go again when we're in the area!
We sat inside with a great view of the river and had a wonderful experience. Our server was friendly and professional, and the food was delicious!
I had the Salmon dinner with baked potatoe,, green beans, the online menu described the onion rings so well, I got that too and a bit of peach ? cobbler. I didn't even finish the meal and a few onion rings. Absolutely delicious and for sure a meal for 2.The staff were so helpful and attentive. I'm very happy with the service..
The food was amazing! The staff were so welcoming when we first came into the restaurant. The waitress was so awesome!! I definitely recommend. The reviews were spot on!
This place used to be awesome. It's gone downhill...the fish filets look smaller than they used to be, the sweet potato fries are pathetic little shoe string fries, and they only gave me TWO hush puppies...?If you want mac n cheese for your kid you minus well make you a box of kraft man n cheese from HEB cause that's all it was, and it was cold. Also, the fruit cup is a litteral snack fruit cup from the store, it just had diced peaches.... I was expecting something like what Chick fil A gives you, with different fruit cut up. It's over priced too. I'm probably not coming back again. So sad because I had fond memories going there when I was a kid.The staff was nice though.
Great service. My fav is fish and shrimp. Can’t beat 3 sides too. Great view of the river.
