Not a good service night wasn't busy yet watch workers standing around talking, picking her nose not washing hands afterwards, drinks were wrong asked for frozen Strawberry margarita got a frozen Strawberry daiquiri with whipped topping. The fries tasted like oil was old, coworker said gumbo was nasty and they refused to remove from her bill at first even though she only took one bite. Not recommending this expensive place.
Good restaurant on the river in Kerrville. Good selection of beers on tap. Really good burgers. They have an excellent variety of food selections on the menu. There is fish and seafood dishes as well as burgers and other selections. The staff are friendly and the service is very good. I highly recommend this place.
It was very hot, so we could not enjoy the patio and river view, but the food made up for it. One day it was three of us; another it was six; and other day 5. One member got oysters and said they were the biggest and best she had ever eaten and she is a world traveler [went back to get them a second time]. Every entre we had was good....shrimp cocktail, fried and in a salad were tasty, shrimp salad with a friend green tomato on top was so huge, we took half home; another day ordered the fried green tomato appeitizer, again, very good. Burgers excellent; one in our party was a Texas Longhorn and he said the gumbo was the best he has had in a long time. Their specialty bar drinks were amazing and very, very reasonable. We were not there during busy hours, so our servers were excellent. Key Lime pie was okay but later ordered a good drink instead.
First time eating at The boat and I tried their fresh crawfish. The crawfish came to our table under cooked and barely warm. It’s disrespectful to serve patrons under cooked meals. Luckily the waitress was respectful and removed the charge.
Just ate here and the food was amazing but when we went to pay for our food and drinks the bill was more than the menu.The waitress suggested the cowboy for $8 but when we paid it ran up for $9. When I brought it to their attention they merrily said oh it’s all ways has been $9 and that was a new drink menu. So I got stiffed for $9 per drink. Not even a I’m sorry or I’ll fix it.
ive lived in kerrville for 2 years ive gone to the boat more times than i can count ive even took friends that were visiting there ive never been there 2 times in a row where it was good. last time was the final chance walked in they were busy sat outside took like 20 min to make a drink order then it just got bad from there when we finally left we had to carry our own food inside to get a togo box we were told sorry its short handed look i get that but there was 2 tables inside maybe 2 outside and your telling me we couldnt get a togo box $100 for some fried food and that the best we get you will never get me again.
love the food they have a new port a burger with an egg on it. the bartender dyanna was getting beers out fast and our server Mallory was handling so many tables at once very well. highly recommend this place. they have seating outside.
food has great flavor. service/waitstaff is so so.. you have to flag them down for tea refills. we waited over 30 minutes for poor boy sandwiches and restaurant was Not crowded. it was around 2:45pm. 1st and last time going there.
Totally disappointed. We have been regulars and they change the chef . They don’t make any entrees with grilled shrimp and the pesto sauce. My etoufe was horrible and the boiled shrimp tasted like chemicals. Get back your old chef. Totally disaster. Service was better.
