This was our first time to try Monroe's and we were not happy. I with the hamburger I had. The meat had no taste. The only thing I liked were the tater tots. They were tasty, cooked well in the inside and crispy on the outside. My husband ordered the fried fish and did not like the texture. Not going back. Sorry, Monroe's.
One of the few non chain restaurants open on a Sunday in Kerrville. Chicken wings were a good size and very tasty. Hamburgers were cooked just right, and the fries were just like I like them - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The food came quickly and the service was great. Cozy atmosphere.
Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries, with an apple scone for desert. Meal was good, but I felt they used too much seasoned salt on the fries. Other than that, tight little spot!
The BEST chicken fried steak I’ve EVER had! That’s saying a lot because chicken fried steak is my favorite and I’ve had it at notorious establishments all over the state. The best onion rings I’ve ever had as well. My compliments to the chef! We will be back
The food was... good. It was a bit pricey. The atmosphere was interesting and the seating was comfy. Overall I would like to go back if nothing more then to try some of the other menu options.
I tried calling on a day that they said they were open and 5 phone calls later....still no answer. Very inconvenient when a business cant update their times and a long time customer wants to order to-go food. Well...guess I'll wait till brew Dawgs is open so I can get some wings. Business lost. Such a shame. Maybe I'll go to chili's ?
First time here. Food was fantastic. Made 2 meals out of the chicken fried steak meal. Casual and relaxed. Rustic decor with a touch of elegance and class. Lots of TVs with various sports going. Definitely will be coming here again.
You can tell the quality of a restaurant and it's food and service by the number of cars in its parking lot. I know this but went to Monroe's anyway against my better judgment. Their parking lots always empty. Don't waste your time here.A good establishment's parking lot is always full
Food was great...young lady who waited on us was nice. We ate outside. Grat place to stop after a bike ride on the River Trail.
Monroe's is my favorite restaurant in Kerrville to get breakfast. I call in my order when I am halfway to my office and they have it ready for me when I pull up at the drive thru window. I usually get sausage, egg (cooked to order) and croissant or bagel. Service is fast and friendly every single time. Prices are excellent.
