We had spent a few days in Fredericksburg, Ingram and Kerrville and had an opportunity to try out several cuisines. Of course, it was the customary Mexican/Tex-Mex option that was pending and we decided to try Mamacita's. Boy, it was one of our best decisions!!! Everything from location, parking, ambience to service was top notch. The fact that we are vegetarians did not in any way impede in us tasting the delicacies in what I would assume was in its true essence.Parking: There is sufficient parking space available in the complex and you don't have to park across or find parking on the road. We visited on a weekend for lunch and we still could find enough empty spots.Ambience: It is themed like a small town in Mexico and is really done tastefully.Service: Excellent and prompt service. We were asked by the host to wait for few minutes until our seat was ready and shown to our table in about 5 minutes. I would advise to call in advance and make reservations if going out for dinner just having to avoid too much of a wait time. Our server knew what options could be made vegetarian and recommended great options. We also enjoyed some good cocktails and beer.Kids: This was a great kid friendly place as it had a small nook with few arcade games. It would probably nice to keep the kids engaged there until food is served up. There was also a live tortilla making machine that can be seen through a glass. I was more amazed than my son and enjoyed observing the process of making fresh tortilla in a modern machine rather than by hand.Food: As earlier mentioned, we ordered vegetarian food and everything was served as we had requested and loved everything. The portions were good sized so you could eat to your heart's content :)

Wish I had my phone to take pics of dinner!! Food was served fresh, hot and fast! Our waitstaff was excellent and kept our chips, salsa and drinks filled. Atmosphere was so cheerful and beautifully decorated. Prices were from 2020!! Delicious, didn't break the bank and we were stuffed. Definitely recommend
Unfortunately I have been infected with Ecoli bacteria from food ingested at this restaurant. Ate May 6th sick next day diagnosed Wed May 11th. What a disappointment.
This is the prettiest Mexican restaurant we've been in. A lot of food but not a lot of flavor. Dined there twice in about two weeks. First time one order was wrong. The second time both orders were wrong. We felt that the food was expensive. We have been visiting for several months and have dined in several Mexican restaurants. There are numerous Mexican restaurants in the area. They might not be as pretty but we had better food and less expensive.
One evening on the Harley, my man and I were trying to figure out where we were gonna go to dinner. I was craving Mexican food but he does not like to eat it. He turned his head backwards and said how about Mamacita's. What! I told him that I was thinking the same thing but u don't like it BUT he said he doesn't mind! We once again we're thinking the same thing, I guess being together for 32 years it will happen. We sat at the bar had a drink along with dinner. It was amazing the fajitas were the bomb. Thanks Kerrville Mamacita's for a good evening out!

We enjoyed lunch. Food was good. They always serve more than we can eat! My husband had the enchiladas and I ordered the beef tacos. Both were served with guacamole, rice and beans.
Mamacita’s is a great tex-mex restaurant, probably the best and most consistent in Kerrville. They have a very cool decor and ambiance, on the outside the building is palatial and inviting. On the inside you get the experience of being out on the Alamo plaza, complete with the surrounding village. It is really a distinctive interior, although this does cause it to be a difficult place to have a conversation due to the echoing of the crowd. Another distinctive feature is their neon green colored sauce, that accompanies the chips and salsa brought to each table before dining. I am not sure what is in this sauce, and recognize that it may not look like something you would normally eat, however, get past that feeling quick, this creamy green sauce is the type you cannot stop eating once you start, the spice is mild, but the flavor lingers.. encouraging you to keep going back for more! The enchiladas and Mexican dinner plates are standard tex-mex style and very good consistently. Last time I was here, i had the beef fajitas plate with all the trimmings and it was excellent. During the main dining hours, you can expect to have an extended wait for a table, but this gives you a chance to check out the fully stocked bar, with a great selection of tequilas.
We love Mamacitas and were so happy to discover one in Kerrville. Their salsas are terrific, and their fajitas were great as well.
